Eight Super Summer Smoothies

Everyone in my family loves smoothies. I love them too, but I struggle with a complete lack of creativity when it comes to making smoothies. That’s why I look for inspiration from others sometimes when it comes to recipes.

If you love smoothies as much as I do, but don’t have the time to concoct your own recipes then you might want to use some of these ideas. I think first up for me is the Mango Melon Special. We all love mangoes here and they are so good for you. I could use that Pineapple Green Tea Smoothie too, if only because I need the Green Tea action right now to kick whatever I’ve got happening – some sort of cold bug. Anyways green tea is great for that.

Smoothies

Smoothies can be extremely nutritious and they can also be a great supplement to your workout routine. Add a bit of protein powder and they help build lean muscle. My kids like them before their workouts sometimes. My youngest occasionally doesn’t have a lot of time between her activities and so sometimes if she’s missing meal time I send her off with a smoothie so she can get through martial arts and have dinner later.

Making your smoothies at home will help you save money. You can also use frozen fruit if saving money is your goal. Smoothie bars are popular at malls and such but sometimes those are not nearly as healthy as the ones you make at home.
