Upcycling, 25 Free Boxes of Cereal #Giveaway and #HNCHeartyOatCrunch

style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How do you make something familiar and well loved into something brand new entirely? Well, you can up cycle, if you are a DIYer. Or you can recreate a classic cereal, that is one of our family favourites, and add oats and nut clusters to give it crunch. That’s just what the people at General Mills have done with new Honey Nut Cheerios Hearty Oat Crunch and they want to give a few boxes away. So stay tuned for details.
My kiddo is the queen of up cycling. Truth.
She has been taking old stand by materials and objects and turning them into something new from the time she could walk. So, when I told her I had a DIY project for her for this new Honey Nut Crunch blog tour, well she took it on herself to orchestrate. I was still humming and wondering what we could make when I looked and saw mad genius daughter sewing away. Next thing I knew she had taken old drapery fabric left over and sitting downstairs for years now and created a purse. Then she made one for her sister.
Look how proud she is in the top left picture. She is pretty happy she has mastered sewing. I love her resourcefulness. Our family has always been fans of traditional Honey Nut Cheerios. Ainsley loves it and it’s her first choice every time. So switching her favourite up for a week was a bit of work. But Payton and Dad and I loved this crunchy version instantly. Actually found the oldest eating it from the box as if it were a snack food. So it gets two thumbs up from that girly.
