Last week, I posted a list of live zoo webcams and that was a big hit. So, in that spirit here is a list of live aquarium webcams and Youtube videos that delve into underwater worlds providing entertainment and education for all of you.

Aquariums are Soothing For So Many Reasons
Let’s be honest, the research for me was awesome last week when I hunted down a huge list of zoo webcams. I am totally addicted to the live webcam of the Edinburgh Zoo pandas and have been watching it every day. Who knew that pandas could be so entertaining and also soothing.
So, that led me to wonder if there are live and educational zoo webcams, are there numerous soothing aquarium webcams too? Guess what I found? THE JELLYFISH LIVE though!! These live camera shots of jellyfish just swimming around and being oblivious to Covid-19, make me feel happy and calm every day.

Aquarium of the Pacific Webcams
Aquarium of the Pacific has numerous live webcams placed inside several different tanks so that you can watch a variety of different marine activity. Yesterday, we watched the reef sharks on one of the live aquarium webcams and that was calming especially for my teenager with anxiety.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium
Have you ever heard the story of Winter the Dolphin? It’s one of our favourite children’s books and it is also based on a true story. I wrote about that here when we visited the Clearwater Marine Aquarium back in 2017.
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium was also immortalized in the movie Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2. We are partial to the books, but the movie, about a dolphin that needed a prosthetic tail is excellent. Highly recommend it. Everyone I know who has ever visited the Vancouver Aquarium has been amazed at the space. I haven’t been to this one yet, but will visit one day soon, I hope. Have you been to this aquarium in person?
The sea otters at the Aquarium are famous for being cute and fluffy, but there’s more to them than being adorable. To a sea urchin, crab or clam, a sea otter is a fearsome predator.
Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
Anyone around here in the Toronto Canada area of Ontario knows this place well. Too bad I haven’t yet had the chance to visit in person. When this pandemic is done I plan to take the time to visit the aquarium and see this in person with one or both of my kids.

Soothing and Educational Live Aquarium WebCams
Closed zoos and aquariums have found some excellent ways to interact and keep their public engaged on social media and with live streams. The Shedd Aquarium has some fantastic videos posted on Youtube for your reference. These are well worth a look.

Ocean Voyager Webcam | Georgia Aquarium
Until recently I didn’t even know that Georgia has a notable aquarium. Perhaps you didn’t either. Now, you know and can add this to the list of spots to visit when travel is an option again.
They also have a Youtube series – A Love Like No Other. SO SWEET! I can’t even. Watch this worker who helped rescue an otter.

MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM, Monterey, California
The Monterey Bay Aquarium has a variety of cams. For those interested in avian species, nearly all of the birds seen in the aviary have been rescued from the wild, and those that fully recover are returned to the wild.
Live JellyFish Cam
Rubbing Beach Underwater Orcas
Hanson Island in British Columbia. Just listen to the noises the orcas make when swimming around. The water is naturally murky, but you can see the orcas in the wild off the BC coast and their sounds are spectacular. You might need to listen and watch for a bit before you hear them talking to each other, but it is worth it.

Shark Lagoon Underwater in California
Shark Lagoon Long Beach California has a wide range of sharks that you can watch daily. Also, FYI this link is Explore.ORG and they have access to dozens of feeds. Some are live aquarium webcams and some are actually highlights reels. Also loving this highlight reel of manatees.
Blue Spring State Park
Underwater Manatee Cam…Yes, please…even the underwater noise of gurgling water is magical. So, this Florida Manatee cam is not live as this is not manatee season. It is a highlights reel and it is equally amazing nonetheless.
One of my goals has always been to see manatees in the wild, up close and personal. That’s still on my bucket list, but it just has to wait for a bit.
Seattle Aquarium Web Cam – Otters
Who doesn’t love otters? They are so cute.
Live Webcams are becoming a daily part of my routine right now. My older daughter also is taking time to check out these aquariums and the Zoo Webcams too. This is a relaxing activity that makes both of us happy, so for that reason I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am that many aquariums and zoos have set these up.

This is perfect for this quarantine so kids can see marine life. I didn’t know about the Zoo ones but this one are very interesting to me.
