I think a lot of people are skeptical about where their donations are really going so it is lovely to hear about those who are truly impacted, in a positive way. As a side note I was talking to a lady at work today about the little girl she sponsors. She had all of us in the department sign a birthday card for young Soleil about two months ago. My friend was reporting back how happy and excited Soleil was to receive our messages and wanted to thank us for our generosity. I was truly humbled..

Children deserve at least the basics, if not more. Education and food are just the basics – along with safety of course.

It is great to actually hear from children who were sponsored in these programs. I think it makes it real and makes you feel like your money really is helping.

I have a friend who sponsors three children and actually got to meet them when she traveled to their country of origin. It’s a wonderful way to pay it forward to those less fortunate.
