Get Your Little Ones Reading with This Cute Kid’s Bookmarks Printable

The truth about my kids is that they take after me – a lot. I am a big book lover and I read voraciously. It’s one of my favourite pastimes. Words make me happy. They cheer me up and inspire me. They help me to feel, and they motivate me to act, and even encourage me to continue writing. Practice, after all, makes perfect.

My kids happily also love to read. Love of reading is something I have always worked hard on nurturing in each of the girls. We often each have multiple books on the go. And oddly we also are very similar in this one way – none of us can ever find a bookmark when we need one. It’s hysterically quirky in my opinion.

Payton, my oldest daughter will use another thinner book to mark her page inside the book she is reading. I have also seen her use a tissue, a bracelet and an old hotel key. Where on earth would she get such ideas? Not sure. Insert shifty eyes and downward gaze here. I, too, have been occasionally out of suitable options for bookmarks. So I reach for old swimming lesson report cards, envelopes with my Mom’s writing on them (because that reminds me of her) and birthday cards the kids have made me. My bookmarks are random and oddball and sometimes meaningful to me. They hold my place usually dwarfing the book itself.

At present, I am currently using a massive red Valentine to mark my page in All The Bright Places, a book I am reviewing for my books blog Thrifty Momma’s Brainfood. It is an odd habit that we have somehow modelled for my kids.

I occasionally love to offer readers some cute printables for free here to help save money and keep kids busy. So, today I am sharing a cute kid’s bookmarks printable. After all anything that gets kids reading is worth the time.

Visit my free printables board on Pinterest for more printables you can share with your family. There are a lot of cute St. Patrick’s Day colouring pages and activities there right now.
