La Roche-Posay Itch Free Day Drawing Contest #100families

My daughter Ainsley doesn’t have eczema, but she does have extremely sensitive skin. That’s part and parcel for a child living with sensory processing disorder. She is easily irritated by many things and synthetic fabrics make her even itchier. Her skin is extremely dry also, so we use cream often.
When Ainsley was little we experimented with many cosmetic options and lotions. But lotions that are overly greasy or scented also irritated her. It took us months and a whole lot of trial and error to figure out what worked. Lipikar Baume AP is one product that is gentle enough for Ainsley’s skin.
I fully appreciate the mission of La Roche-Posay in helping children with eczema. Many members of our family have had eczema and allergies that are difficult to manage at times. That is always exacerbated when you are a child. Anything that makes you different is hard to get over when you don’t yet have the life skills to manage that complicated emotional territory. Anything that makes you itch all the time is distracting beyond belief. It’s hard to have fun, or learn or simply be a kid when you are always itchy.
In 2012, La Roche-Posay organized the “100 families” program which followed families with children suffering from eczema and provided them with the education necessary to better manage their eczema, as well as free Lipikar products. Lipikar is designed for children and infants with eczema.
This spring Lipikar and La Roche-Posay Canada are running a contest to inspire children to draw what an Itch free daylooks like. Children can submit their drawings and LaRoche-Posay facebook fans will vote for their favourite. This spring,
La Roche-Posay Facebook fans will vote for their favorite drawing and a jury will then select the winning drawing among the top 10. The artist will win a selection of La Roche-Posay products and will see his or her drawing on a limited edition Lipikar Baume AP container, released in October 2013.
