Marvel The Amazing Spiderman 2 Motorized Spider Force Web Blaster Review

Friday night fun around here took on a whole new dynamic once we had kids. When they were tiny Friday was blur of feeding, dressing, chasing and diapering the kids. Now we drop the diapering portion of that, but the rest is pretty much the same. Add some taxiing to their current sports and activities after school and that’s just about right.

 One would think that kids at some point develop an ability to amuse themselves, right? Some days not so much. But good toys can help. Hasbro sent a couple of fantastic new toys from their summer lineup over last weekend and Friday was a happy blur of unpacking the toys and testing them out.

This one, my youngest daughter, got Marvel’s The Amazing Spiderman 2 Motorized Spider Force Web Blaster. This fun toy obviously encourages creative play and fun active play too. I mean who doesn’t want to pretend they are a superhero? The Spider Force Web Blaster comes in tact. No assembly required.

The toy takes three double A batteries for the flinging portion of the motor to become fully responsive to the child using the toy. Ainsley couldn’t wait to get this toy working. Happily, I can tell you the web blaster discs are soft foam so when it shoots off in the basement or the living room by “accident” no furniture will be damaged in the process. The motor itself runs at a medium sound level which isn’t too bad, but might be the tiniest bit loud for some kids.

Marvel’s Spiderman 2 Motorized Spider Force Web Blaster retails for about $19.99 and is made of durable materials. It is based on Nerf technology so you know it’s fun and gentle enough for most. This toy is recommended for ages five and up. I am a weeeee bit over five and I get a kick out of the Web Blaster. The inside pocket takes as many as five of the discs at a time and fires them off in rapid fire succession. It automatically loads the next shot and can shoot up to 20 feet. We defied that though and took it outside where there was a bit of a breeze carrying the discs even further.

This is a whole lot of fun for all ages and genders, provided you are over the age of five. I would buy this for nephews and birthday parties.

This gets a $$$$$ out of $$$$$ rating. The price is right and it’s a blast, literally.
