    Spring Bird’s Nest Cheerios Treats

March 23, 2016 / Comments Off on Spring Bird’s Nest Cheerios Treats

It’s the month for Easter baking around here and my sweet tooth has not been disappointed. So today I want to share another great, super simple Easter recipe we made recently. These Easter Cheerios Bird Nests are really chewy and sticky and oh so good. I call them Chewy Cheerios treats. You can also call them Marshmallow Easter Bird’s Nests if you want. Again these are simple to make so the kids can easily get involved baking them and sharing with friends. All you need is a few bulk food store ingredients and you can pull this together in 15 minutes. The only challenging part really is making sure the marshmallow…

No Bake Treats – Easter Bird’s Nests

    March 21, 2016 / 1 Comment

When I was a child we used to make crunchy chocolate No Bake treats every Christmas. My Mom and I baked a lot some years and these crunchy treats were one of my favourites. I can’t recall what we called them now but they had egg noodles in them and chocolate and they really were a hit. With that idea in mind, I thought I would modify the old childhood recipe and create these spring No Bake Treats. These No Bake Easter Bird’s Nests are good any time of the year but I think they look colourful like Spring Flowers. No Bake Treats for Easter I will warn you right now…

Peanut Butter Cupcakes are moist and delicious and really great treats for kids. My kids are peanut butter junkies, especially the youngest one. She could live entirely on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and the occasional pizza too. I prefer my peanut butter in something sweet like these perfectly sweet Peanut Butter Cupcakes. Or delicious peanut butter cups. Those make me happy too. Maybe even Peanut Butter Fudge. But Peanut Butter and jelly or jam….well that’s a pass for me. Do You Have a Sweet Tooth? If you are like me and have a sweet tooth at all then you will love these Peanut Butter Cupcakes. They are pretty simple…

Breville Scraper Mixer Pro Hits The Mark #TMMGG2015

    November 30, 2015 / 7 Comments

Whoever said don’t give appliances for Christmas wasn’t talking about the Breville Scraper Mixer Pro. This little beauty is as sparkly as any jewel in my books. If you have a person who loves to bake, the Breville Scraper Mixer Pro is the gift that will make them light up this holiday. I have been asking Santa for a big beautiful blender mixer for two years. It never worked out….I thought I was getting one last year potentially…I mean I was good and everything. I rarely made the naughty list…but sadly husband was completely overwhelmed by the stand mixer options when he went shopping. He literally said: “I had no…

    Festive Gingerbread Chai Latte

    November 11, 2015 / 7 Comments

If you know me at all, then you are aware of my love for chai latte. Chai tea latte is my favourite beverage on the planet. I can drink it all year round but it’s my favourite thing to order from Starbucks when I travel. There’s something very comforting and smooth about a chai tea latte. This season I love experimenting with the flavours that are Fall and Winter standbys. This time of year gingerbread is a smooth partner in so many holiday recipes. Gingerbread cookies and treats are synonymous with Christmas. Gingerbread is to Christmas what pumpkin is to Halloween. So Gingerbread chai latte is like the perfect storm…

    Haunting Halloween RIP Brownies Recipe

    October 15, 2015 / 1 Comment

Do your kids have a Halloween party to attend this year at all? Do you have a Halloween event? Then this recipe is perfect for you. Halloween RIP Brownies are pretty easy to make, festive and fun. Give them a try. It’s the icing that takes the longest on these. But the icing is also typically the best part too so it’s worth it in my opinion. Happy Haunting!! The last brownies we had were gluten free at a small bakery near the beach this August and they were delicious. They gave new meaning to awesome gluten free treats. These are not gluten free but you can easily modify with a…
