I didn’t have a christening for Bella we did have a baby blessing. Which I think is the same kind of thing? I had friends from church attend and family and we had a potluc type of meal after a service.

People need a party for a Christening? I guess any time people can get together is a good thing so I’ll keep this in mind for my grandson’s christening.

We have similar parties when our children are born, it’s called an Aqeeqah. Food is distributed to the poor and you celebrate with close friends and family. These are great, versatile tips.

I don’t recall having a big party for our girls’ christenings. Is this a newer trend?
