Six of the Best Cruises to Book Right Now

From rock climbing walls to world class entertainment and go-karts at sea!! One amazing family cruise we went on once even had a zip line and a carousel. What will they think of next to keep you busy and amused on your cruise ship adventure? As soon as you can imagine it, cruise ships have already carried it out and are ready to launch these days.

The sea is no barrier to wildly fun entertainment and activity. In fact, every time you think well they couldn’t possibly do that on a cruise ship they prove you wrong. So here’s to sailing and the spirit of adventure that awaits every time. Every new season brings something unique in the cruise travel fleets. Here are some of my picks for most fun cruise ships on the ocean.

Six Fun Cruises You’ll Want to Book ASAP

Planning for a cruise with your family can be exciting, but choosing which cruise to take can be a little tough. After all, there are so many options! You could spend days researching the different amenities and activities you’ll find on each of the ships. Luckily, I’m here to help. We’ve taken quite a few family cruises on various cruise lines and have some definite opinions about what we love.

These six fun cruises offer some outrageous experiences you’ll find at sea:

1 – Norwegian Bliss

The newest ship in Norwegian’s fleet certainly doesn’t disappoint! Between the largest race track at sea and the mini golf or the laser tag and the incredible waterslides that are classic Norwegian, and a wide variety of other activities, your kids and teens won’t complain a bit. Mom and Dad are also sure to enjoy the multiple bars, comedy club and theatrical performances.

2 – Harmony of the Seas.

This Royal Caribbean ship is basically a floating amusement park! We were on this one in 2017 and we visited St Maarten, Haiti, Puerto Rico and another port or two. It once held the title of the largest cruise ship in the world, and every square inch of this behemoth is packed with fun things to do for family members of all ages. Whether you’re traveling with teens, have little ones in tow, or managed to sneak off on an adults-only vacation, you’ll find endless ways to stay entertained on board and at your ports of call.

From the ridiculously impressive aquatic shows daily to an ice skating rink and full ice dance theatre, the entertainment is one of the biggest draws in my opinion. All the show are included so book them as soon as you can because tickets sometimes run out. Standing room only at shows like Grease on Harmony of the Seas.

3 – Carnival Vista.

With the most restaurants, entertainment options and outdoor activities of any Carnival ship, the Carnival Vista offers a ton of fun for the whole family! From the SkyRide and water slides to the IMAX theatre, I can guarantee you won’t be bored on this ship. There’s far more than you could hope to accomplish during your cruise, so make a list and prioritize the things you want to do before your vacation comes to an end.

I truly enjoy cruising with Carnival. We’ve done a couple of Carnival Cruises and Carnival cruises are just fun cruises, period. But the Vista, well that’s one I am dying to get on eventually. Check out my Carnival Sensation video on Youtube.

4 – Disney Fantasy.

If your family loves Disney, a Disney cruise can be an obvious choice, but even those who aren’t gigantic fans of the theme parks can still enjoy their experience on one of these elegant and fun-filled ships. Disney is one of the most family friendly cruises you could find. Kids will love the Marvel- and Star Wars-themed activities, mini golf course and AquaDuck water coaster, which sends riders swinging out over the open seas.

5 – Anthem of the Seas.

Another Royal Caribbean cruise makes the list – and for good reason! It’s home to the SeaPlex, an exciting indoor activity center that’ll keep your family entertained even when the weather isn’t wonderful. Ride the bumper cars, roller skate, or test your skills on the trapeze with a lesson at circus school. For some fun in the sun, there are plenty of pools for folks of all ages to enjoy.

6. Norwegian Escape:

The Norwegian Escape is the one we did in late 2015. The high ropes course with zip line on deck was incredible. The plank which leans overboard projecting into the water and wiggles back and forth as you stand there (getting a photo taken of course) is OUTRAGEOUS!!

Waterslides on the Escape were some of my favourites of all time on any cruise we have been on yet. There is a transparent one that requires a tube so you go down the slide with your family member or friend. I personally could have gone down that one all day.
