Oh, yum! I am a Gulf Coast girl (live on Galveston Island) and you listed many of my favorites – especially gumbo and beignets. New Orleans is my honeymoon city! We celebrate Mardi Gras here, as well, and there is actually a King Cake on my table, as I speak. I need to try out the Primms Cup. Great list!

If I get to have a trip to the Gulf coast, I will make sure I have my fill of shrimp! The cheese pimiento sounds so good, I will have to find a recipe for that. Oh and those grilled oysters! So yummy!

I would for sure have to try the beignets at Cafe du Monde, what a fun treat. I have always loved them but only had the ones I make, I would love to try some from New Orleans.

These look like some delicious southern food options that you simply must enjoy on the Gulf Coast. I love the idea of eating new foods and getting over to the Gulf Coast.
