Christmas Pre-Writing Activity Book for Kids

Paula — Sun, 14 Nov 2021 21:43:53 +0000

It’s beginning to look a bit like Christmas around here. Maybe not quite a lot like Christmas as the song traditionally goes. But a bit at the very least. Show is falling like mad today and hopefully soon ski season arrives. I know not all of you are winter snow fans, but I suspect many of you are looking forward to Christmas. Christmas Pre-Writing Activity Book for Preschoolers This Christmas check out all of the Christmas printables and activities that I have here. Don’t miss the Christmas tags below. One of the most popular posts here is my Christmas crossword. It’s an easy little crossword for kids. How to Use This Activity Book Over the holidays your kids might be looking for a few easy and affordable things to do. So, here’s one more for the very little ones who are working on their fine motor and hand-eye coordination. Tracing lines helps when it comes to printing and writing numbers and letters. So, in the spirit of offering the kids some small activities that might help you as well, I hope you like this Christmas Pre-Writing Activity Book for preschoolers (that said sometimes I hate to put ages on these because every child is different.) Mine could have used this type of activity to practice writing and printing even in school. For many years, because of her unique learning disability she did occupational therapy. These kinds of activities helped her to learn to press less hard and control the pressure that she put on the page. Eventually, that helped. As a small school child she’d press so hard she ripped the paper and her hand would cramp. When printing and writing are such a huge piece of school and academics every little bit of support helps. Easy Downloadable Activity Book And MORE to Share Happy Holidays!! Don’t forget to check out my Free Printables board on Pinterest. There are a lot of colouring pages to keep you and your kids busy. Bald Eagle Life Cycle Learning Games Booklet

Paula — Fri, 29 Jan 2021 14:21:00 +0000

The first time I ever saw a truly gorgeous bald eagle in real life was in Alabama actually. We were doing a Segway Tour through the Hugh S. Branyon Back Country trail in Gulf Shores, Alabama and we stopped halfway though for a rest and spotted a nest high atop one of the trees and an eagle was in it. Oh I have seen them on TV and even in zoos, where eagles might be rehabilitating from injury. They are always impressive and majestic. But seeing that nest and the scope of it hit me. I’ve seen them in Florida treetops as well quite a few times and now that I know what to look for, I have even seen them in Canada once or twice. A Few Bald Eagle Facts Did you know that bald eagles are the only eagles that are indigenous to North America? Young eagles are called eaglets. Eaglets are light grey and fluffy when they first hatch. Their feathers turn dark brown when they’re about 12 weeks old and ready to leave the nest. Their bald heads don’t turn white until they are about four to five years old. Bald eagles make their homes in forests often near large bodies of water. This environment ensures good fishing and large trees for nesting. Check out this Bald Eagle Live WebCam, which is perfect right now because many of us still cannot travel. What’s in the Bald Eagle Life Cycle Learning Kit? Here’s what’s included in this cute and free learning tool for school aged kids. Want to Keep the Learning Going? These cute pet games and printable activities will make any pet lover happy. This activity book is super sweet for children. Post may contain affiliate links as a service to readers. I receive a small commission via qualifying purchases. Everyone on earth has had a pet at one time or another. There’s something special about first pets and well, frankly every pet has a special place in their owner’s hearts. Pets We Have Known and Loved My first pet ever would have been a tiny Pomeranian dog when I was a baby. But, to be honest I have zero memory of that pup. My only memories of her are from photos my Mom had. The first pet that I actually remember was a tiny turtle that my brother and I both had. Loved that pet. I recall that we called him Fred Flintstone and he was a small guy who lived in our aquarium in our home in Guelph. Alas, I think he only lasted about three years. After that, we had no pets for a time until we got our cats. Over the years, we had so many wonderful cats: Spooky, Mandy, Mindy and Magnum. Mindy and Magnum were still with is when we adopted both of our girls. Pet Games and Printables The pet games and printables are six pages of fun and a little bit of passive learning too. Match the pets to their houses is a cute and simple activity for small children. There are also two colouring pages and a page of pet games writing prompts like this one below. These are great because they teach kids to explore language and writing and they can be useful literacy tools. To download the above pet games click on the link below. It’s simple and also safe to download to PDF booklet. Do you have pets in your family and your life? Right now, we have two relatively low key guinea pigs. They may or may not have just celebrated a birthday, with small party hats and treats too. My daughter decided that might be fun and uplifting. You can see how that went here… View this post on Instagram A post shared by Paula Schuck (@inkscrblr) More Free Games and Printables
