Have you ever been fishing? One of my kids LOVES to go fishing, so chances are good we will do that at some point this simmer. Whether you are a skilled angler or starting out, the parts of a fish are important to know. In school when studying science and life cycles, you might come across a fish related activity or learning unit. There’s so much to learn about animals, insects and fish and there are so many fun ways to make those lessons resonate with kids. When I was in school, I did several life cycle assignments and ecosystem assignments involving collecting tadpoles and more. One year we did a whole pond ecosystem complete with small aquarium and whatever we had scooped up out of a creek nearby our apartment in Guelph Ontario. We had so much fun doing that science project in senior elementary school. Here’s what’s included in these fishy activity sheets for kids. I’d estimate most kids around ages 4-8 would enjoy doing this. You know your child best but any older than that and they would probably give you side eye for suggesting this activity.
