I have teen girls and I can tell you that bath bombs are a massive hit here. But they can also be extremely expensive when you buy them. This year I thought what if we made some DIY Easter bath bombs to put in the Easter baskets? Happy Easter! There’s something about spring that makes me feel creative! I want to bust out the craft materials and the recipes and start building something fresh. Spring is a great time for that, don’t you think? This easy DIY Easter bath bombs recipe is just the thing you need this season. You can make them and use them yourself, or package them up in a pretty basket or takeout style container and gift them to someone special. Ingredients  1 cup baking soda 1/2 cup cream of tartar 1/2 cup corn starch 2 tablespoons Epsom salt 2 tablespoons coconut oil ( oil NOT cream ) 5 teaspoons water 3 drops essential oil ( found at Michaels or online ) food colouring Directions  Use a large bowl, add baking soda, cream of tartar, corn starch and epson salt. Add in the coconut oil into the dry ingredients admix well, until the mixture becomes sandy with an oil feel. One teaspoon at a time, begin to add water to the dry ingredients, stirring it in immediately with a large spoon. Continue to add the liquid until your mixture resembles damp sand.   It should still be partially dry, but when you squeeze a handful together it could form a ball. Add food coloring and your essential oils, by mixing them into the liquid ingredients. if making several colors separate mix not 3 or more bowls and old and food coloring in each bowl as you desire. When the mixture is the color you want, take a small amount and  press it firmly into each side of the easter egg mold. Allow to dry for a 24 hours or more. Gently remove from the easter molds and place on a flat surface for another 4 hours. Then store in an airtight container until ready to use. These are perfect for gift baskets for teenagers, or tween girls too. DIY Easter Bath Bombs These DIY Easter bath bombs will be a huge hit, especially if you have teenage girls like I do. Happily these are not too hard to make. But be prepared to be patient. Don’t expect perfection overnight. They might take a bit of practice. But they will save you a bundle and best of all they don’t give you cavities!
