Ayurvedic teas from Tetley satisfy my tea cravings while helping to balance mind and body. It’s the only thing I love as much as coffee. If I’m being honest, I might even love it more. Tonight I had this one after dinner and put it in a travel mug to take to my daughter’s therapy riding lesson. I feel like it’s a great blend for nights like these when we are running and striving to get a lot done in a short time. As an added bonus, and there’s really no pretty way to say this – Cool-Pitta helps me with mild digestive issues. The blend of mints and lemon means that it helps when I feel like I have a bit of heartburn or bloating or anything like that. For me, it’s useful. Vigour-Kapha When you’re feeling sluggish, this blend can work wonders. Ginger root, tulsi, peppermint, spearmint, clove, turmeric, and cumin combine to give you an invigorating and heating blend with a hint of tingly mint. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and frankly I have never heard of it in a tea before so that’s a very cool combination. Vigour-Kapha is for days like Wednesday when you have back to back meetings, and you volunteered for a committee fundraiser and you might need to clone yourself to get your work done. And you woke up completely exhausted as well. I have had two cups of Vigour-Kapha today because it is supposed to be invigorating and I need two cups of that to help get me through an extremely long night as well. It worked because I managed to stay awake working until 11, despite the exhausted start. Enjoy Coffee Time Without Worrying #ChurchandDwight

Coffee time is simply essential. At least, it is for me. I love coffee. I cannot start my day without it. I need that jolt of pure go juice induced energy to get me started on my day. I used to be one of those people who had a pot of coffee ready to go pretty much all day. When my blood pressure started to be too high for my comfort though I trimmed right back. Note – trimmed back. I didn’t quit entirely because I love coffee time too much and I need it to power through busy days. That’s why September 29th, National Coffee Day, is one of my favorite days of the year. Coffee Time and Me In the morning, coffee is my liquid best friend. It wakes me up in the morning. Coffee keeps me going through the morning. It’s delicious. It makes me happy and helps me function. I’ll drink it in many forms. Black, latte, flavored, espresso, iced – if it’s coffee, I’m all about it. Not only does it keep me focused, but recent studies have shown that it’s excellent for memory and it fights the common cold. So, when you think about it, I sort of HAVE to drink coffee. At least a little bit. Coffee Time and Everything Else While I may love coffee with a passion, there are other things in my life that do not love coffee. My teeth, for one. Coffee may be delicious, but it also stains your teeth over time. In fact, to combat what my love of coffee does to my teeth, everything I use for oral care has whitening agents. Festive Gingerbread Chai Latte

If you know me at all, then you are aware of my love for chai latte. Chai tea latte is my favourite beverage on the planet. I can drink it all year round but it’s my favourite thing to order from Starbucks when I travel. There’s something very comforting and smooth about a chai tea latte. This season I love experimenting with the flavours that are Fall and Winter standbys. This time of year gingerbread is a smooth partner in so many holiday recipes. Gingerbread cookies and treats are synonymous with Christmas. Gingerbread is to Christmas what pumpkin is to Halloween. So Gingerbread chai latte is like the perfect storm of Christmas drinks. The perfect festive beverage.

Lifeway Kefir Low Fat Cultured Milk Smoothie Drink

So what exactly is Kefir? Kefir is a smooth version of drinkable yogurt packed with protein. It is essentially a cousin of yogurt with roots that go back to Europe over 2000 years ago. It is jam packed with probiotics which is why I wanted to try it. The taste is a bit tart, almost sour. It takes a bit of getting used to actually. My kids love drinkable yogurt and one of them found this strawberry flavoured cultured milk smoothie to be a bit sour. I have a sour streak, or should I say, a love of sour tasting foods so I didn’t mind that. Because I am always on the lookout for foods and beverages packed with protein, this Lifeway Kefir low fat cultured milk smoothie is something I would buy for my family. I could easily see us adding this to smoothies, protein shakes and the Zoku maker too. We received original flavour and strawberry was sent to us also.
