There’s something awesome and childlike about building a snowman that first snowfall every year. Hopefully by December you have each had the chance to experience a snowfall in your area. Unless of course you live in one of the southern States or countries. By December each year we often have a fair bit of snow. That translates into snowmen and snowballs and snow forts and all kinds of creative snow sculptures too! If you know me at all, then you are aware of my love for chai latte. Chai tea latte is my favourite beverage on the planet. I can drink it all year round but it’s my favourite thing to order from Starbucks when I travel. There’s something very comforting and smooth about a chai tea latte. This season I love experimenting with the flavours that are Fall and Winter standbys. This time of year gingerbread is a smooth partner in so many holiday recipes. Gingerbread cookies and treats are synonymous with Christmas. Gingerbread is to Christmas what pumpkin is to Halloween. So Gingerbread chai latte is like the perfect storm of Christmas drinks. Cookies, cookies cookies! Do you have a little cookie monster in your house? Maybe you are one yourself! True story – I was a total cookie monster in university. I fuelled up with cookies, rice krispie squares and coffee. Now I try to eat healthier and sometimes I win that battle but I still have a weakness for cookies. This year I will purposefully take a pass on anything high in sodium, but my new low sodium diet and health eating process doesn’t mean I skip all the treats. I think there’s something about cookies that brings out the kid in all of us. And it’s Christmas, who doesn’t love Christmas cookies? This Christmas cookie list is for anyone who loves cookies as much as I do. At Christmas we all bake together. It’s a tradition and it’s one of my favourites because my kids love to help. We have a lot of fun cooking and baking together and we always have. From the time my girls were two and able to crack eggs, they were hooked on building fun and food in the kitchen. Already this year we have made these: shortbread cookies. I have collected a list of 15 scrumptious and unique Christmas cookies for you!
