It’s the season for Christmas baking. The Amish know a thing or two about that. Here’s one of my favourite cookie recipes. These Amish peppermint mocha sugar cookies are sure to knock your socks off. It’s baking season!! Wahoo. I love baking. I have a big sweet tooth. You might already know that if you spend any time reading this blog at all. Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to bake with my kids. And honestly it’s okay to indulge just a little more this time of year. These 3 D Christmas Tree Cookies are a showstopper. These Christmas Tree Cookies are magical, don’t you think? Wait until you see the look on people’s faces when you share and serve. There are several steps to making these, but they are very worth the time and effort. Start with a basic Christmas Tree Cookie, add a huge heaping of icing and build a few other pieces to make this little masterpiece. There’s still a lot of time to make these quirky treats. Just be careful if you are transporting them somewhere. You don’t want to break them before you have the chance to show them off. 15 Scrumptious Christmas Cookies

Cookies, cookies cookies! Do you have a little cookie monster in your house? Maybe you are one yourself! True story – I was a total cookie monster in university. I fuelled up with cookies, rice krispie squares and coffee. Now I try to eat healthier and sometimes I win that battle but I still have a weakness for cookies. This year I will purposefully take a pass on anything high in sodium, but my new low sodium diet and health eating process doesn’t mean I skip all the treats. I think there’s something about cookies that brings out the kid in all of us. And it’s Christmas, who doesn’t love Christmas cookies? This Christmas cookie list is for anyone who loves cookies as much as I do. At Christmas we all bake together. It’s a tradition and it’s one of my favourites because my kids love to help. We have a lot of fun cooking and baking together and we always have. From the time my girls were two and able to crack eggs, they were hooked on building fun and food in the kitchen.
