Cute St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt

Well, I know it’s not exactly right around the corner or anything but here’s to St. Patrick’s Day. This year, we are celebrating with a St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt and maybe some green foods or drinks. It was St. Patrick’s Day roughly in 2020 when Coronavirus kicked it up a great deal and sent us all for a loop here. Our spring break vacation was cancelled entirely when the border between Canada and the US was closed to travel. That was a very hard period of time and the start of a long haul through 2020. Do a Christmas Scavenger Hunt This Year

I declare it time for a fun Christmas Scavenger Hunt! Alrighty, so we all know that this year has been a lot. And the holidays, birthdays and such have all been done just a little bit differently. So, you might be looking for ways to occupy the kids and amuse others during the holidays while maintaining a bit of social distancing. Bring on a Christmas Scavenger Hunt! That’s why I am sharing some more fun Christmas activities for families. This Christmas Scavenger Hunt is just adorable. You could however play these games virtually or with friends via Face time. Or you might just share this Christmas Scavenger Hunt with your kids. What’s Your Plan for Christmas? No idea whether we will be able to travel yet or not this season but I am forever hopeful that ski season will resume, even if slightly modified and maybe even just locally in Ontario. That will make my year actually. As long as I can ski after all of this I will be fine. Christmas is a great time to get outside and have some fun too. Make a snowman, go for a toboggan ride, strap a pair of skates or skis on and have fun! If at all possible, I will be tubing and skiing. I will be praying mean time, that we all stay safe and that the border opens up and things are safe again soon. I can’t wait until we are able to head to Vermont with my family again. That’s my happy place. A ski hill, mountain or resort. I love Christmas and frankly all of the joy that buying presents and sharing them with someone special entails. But, like a lot of you, I’d much rather have experiences than spend huge amounts on gifts. Family Board Games are still some of my favourite family gifts any time of the year. My kids still enjoy a good game from time to time and so do we. It beats watching TV, Youtube or Netflix some nights, and is a lot more affordable than heading to the movie theatre, so why not give some as gifts for birthdays and other occasions? We have a closet full of family board games here. When visitors come over and younger children are in the mix this is often the first closet they go for. So, it works in our best interests often to keep numerous options for various ages on hand. Family Board games can be an excellent way to gather as a family and spend time together. From a young age our kids used to play Candyland and Snakes and Ladders with grandma. Those were both gifts from her years ago. I think we still have both family board games because I couldn’t part with them. There are a few reminders of Grandma around that we keep because they were given to us from her and they remind us of how generous and fun she could be.
