Post may contain affiliate links as a service to my readers. Let’s talk Natural Hair Care Products for Colored Hair? Do you specifically need hair care products for colored hair if you highlight or dye your hair? Does it matter? Can dry hair also benefit from products specifically made for colored hair? Read on and you will find out. Mastey Natural Hair Care Products for Colored Hair are formulated for color protection. I highlight and color my hair from time to time. I also have dry hair that responds best to products that are super moisturizing. I once read that the best way to protect and moisturize dry hair is to opt for color protecting line ups of products all the time. I haven’t always followed that rule but I think it’s worth remembering and testing out from time to time. So I tried that for a few weeks here. Does it make an impact using colored hair products. Yes, it does actually. At least for me. I tend to get a lot of beauty products here and I can’t possibly write about all of them. But recently I have had a couple of great hair care products shipped over so that I could test-drive and see if they were potential features worth sharing. This batch of Mastey natural hair care products captured my interest for several reasons. [tweetthis]Mastey Natural Hair Care Products for Colored Hair are worth checking out.[/tweetthis] Mastey is sulfate free and rich with anti-oxidants. It has zero ammonia and it is 100 % vegan. There is a lot I like about Mastey. I have been using this line for a few weeks now. My overview of the line is this: Mastey sulfate free shampoo is a keeper. It works beautifully on my hair. It lathers really well which I was not expecting as any Natural Hair Care Products for Colored Hair I have used previously did not lather at all. This one gets my hair clean and it lets my highlights show through. There is no buildup. [tweetthis]Mastey Sulfate Free Shampoo Natural Hair Care Products for Colored Hair is a sensational product.[/tweetthis] The Mastey Line Up: (BTW the packaging has changed on this brand recently.) Shampoo The Mastey Sulfate Free Shampoo strengthens and repairs hair while creating softness and shine. This is the best part of the lineup for me. Purchase this one because it works. It also reduces frizz and flyaway hair which I have noticed. The shampoo is rich in grape seed extracts (which I think makes a hinge difference to my hair.) The antioxidants help repair and protect your color. Conditioner Mastey Daily Conditioner smoothes and detangles while eliminating frizz as well. It is rich in vitamins and antioxidants. BUT my personal perspective is that this conditioner doesn’t work really well on my hair. I can use it with the shampoo and the styling products BUT I still have to add a secondary conditioner (which is actually really common for my hair. It gets that dry.) Leave-In Therapy Spray Leave – In Therapy Spray is a product I like a lot. It does all of the above tasks that the shampoo and conditioner do, but it also prevents breakage and split ends. This leave-in is light and it is not tacky in my hair either. Use it prior to blowdrying. It provides some protection from hot tools like blowdryers and curling irons. In my opinion this product is also worth trying and using. A little goes a very long way and this bottle will last you months. Finally there was also a bottle of volumizing foam as well. To be honest I have only used this twice. My hair rarely needs volume because I have big hair. The volumizing foam is a root lifting mousse with all day hold. It supports your style and shine. The Volumizing Foam is part of the extensive lineup of Mastey Natural Hair Care Products for Colored Hair. It acts quite differently than the usual mousse I use. It’s much lighter when it comes out of the bottle. There is also a Dry Wax, a Defining Cream, a Beach Spray, a Finishing Spray, Hairspray, a Reconstructive Mask, as well as a Styling Gel. The Leave-In Oil Treatment adds softness and shine and is rich with argan oil and olive oil (That’s golden for hair like mine.) In summary these are some products worth trying. The shampoo is excellent and I like the natural materials and the fact that this is sulfate free. I would love to get my hands on a few more of the styling products actually and I would definitely buy the shampoo. I think the conditioner would be great for my hair if it was an intensive conditioner. Daily conditioner doesn’t help me to be tangle free. Are these Hair Care Products Worth It? Mastey Natural Hair Care Products for Colored Hair are worth checking out especially if you are a fan of lightening or tinting or changing the shade of your hair. Other details about Mastey Natural natural hair care products for colored hair: No animal testing. 100 % vegan. Made with Argan oil and olive oil Rich in Omega 6. UV protection. For more information follow Mastey on Twitter and Facebook. Final Words: I received these products and decided you might be interested in reading about them so I shared. My reviews are honest. Also as a POSTSCRIPT to this I want to add that just this week I accidentally started using the products backwards. I was sleepy and did conditioner first and then shampoo and then small repair condition with my other brand and that was the MAGICAL FORMULA that gave me amazing amazing results. Weird but true. Plus I am using the leave-in therapy spray more and it is great!!

Good hair days don’t have to be few and far between especially with Living Proof Hair Products. It’s no secret that this winter was hard on my hair. In fact, I posted about it often enough. I think most of you have already heard me ranting about dry winter hair. I’m a curly-haired woman and some days more waves than curls, and that’s alright by me. No More Hair Fuss When I was little, my curls were always tangly and dry. I was not so much a fan of my curly hair. I would have traded it for the short dark shiny straight Snow White hair my BFF Sheila had. Her hair was No fuss. It was always sporty and clean and neat and she looked like a skater. Quite the opposite, I had dishevelled curls, prone to cow licks and sometimes very immature ringlets. We always want what we do not have, right? I was in my teens before I realized I had nice hair. I was actually heading out to get a spiral perm one day when I realized I was wasting my money. Truthfully, I had all the curl I needed but I just hadn’t found the right products to tame my hair. Growing Into My Hair At some point in my teens I discovered conditioner and mousse and let’s just say my love affair with hair products was ignited. Over the years I have made peace with my curly hair. In fact I love my hair. It might be my favourite physical feature. So when my hair suffers, I am not happy. When I have a great hair day that makes me ecstatic! Beat Not Great Hair Days This winter and fall I had a mess of not great hair days. But then out of the blue Living Proof hair products arrived for curly hair! I was eager to try them and my hair was thirsty for a change too. So, here’s what I have to say about Living Proof. The products themselves are tailored toward curly hair. To be clear there are several lines. I have seen one for straight hair too, but the one I got was just for me. I started with the Living Proof curl conditioning wash and noticed immediately there’s a huge difference here. To Lather or Not? The Living Proof curl conditioning wash doesn’t lather at all. It is also sulfate free. In fact none of the products lather, so that takes a bit of getting used to. The curl conditioning wash looks like conditioner, so much so that I doubled checked that I was following the instructions twice in the past month. It feels like conditioner and is opaque. Interesting, right? It’s really a two in one product and it doesn’t strip the moisture from your hair. Follow that up with the curl detangling rinse. The rinse is a clear product that looks like shampoo. So you can see why I did a double take. I tend to need a lot of conditioner and a lot of detangler. But I was happy that this product tackled both. The detangler is water activated and it seems to work pretty well. Gentle towel pat to get some of the water out of my hair and then I added a bit of curl enhancing styling mousse and curl defining styling cream. This picture is the shot of me the first time I used this brand and this combination of products. I LOVED the definition in my curls. You can easily see that there are no tangles either. That’s a dramatic result for me. I also love that when I use Living Proof I can see the highlights in my hair. Some products seem to work against highlights and lowlights in hair as if they leave a dull sheen over top. Living Proof seems to clarify and work well with my natural hair. In fact Living Proof Hair Products enhance my hair and they don’t seem to leave that residue that makes hair look dull and lifeless. Living Proof hair products are based on science. Stylists and biotech scientists worked in their labs to challenge conventional hair beauty problems. They invented and patented new molecules that change the way hair behaves. Jennifer Aniston is co-owner and spokesmodel for the company. I have been using these for several weeks now and I have found good results. Sometimes the results are dramatic. I discovered skiing this winter. I loved that. However, Living Proof did not stand up to helmet head. The tangles in my hair after sweating on the slopes in Tremblant were no match for any shampoo/ conditioner/ detangler combo. So maybe Living Proof also needs a workout line? I have also used the leave in conditioner. I often use a leave in conditioner product. This Living Proof Hair Products leave in conditioner works well and has added frizz protection. Apply to clean wet hair from root to tip. The No Frizz Leave In Conditioner is one of my favourite parts of this line. I tend to need that final addition to the hair routine to fix the frizz. Spring is a high humidity season. I plan to keep using and experimenting with these products for a bit longer. They are sold in hair salons. I want to see if Living Proof Hair Products can really tackle the rainy months. In my opinion, curly hair is really reactive to weather. Rainy wet weather tends to leave my hair either frizzy and out of control or flat and lifeless. In the rainy weather styling my hair can be extremely hard. If anything works, I suspect it will be Living Proof Hair Products. I am pretty impressed so far. I received product but was under no obligation to write anything at all. This is my honest opinion.
