Do you have a product you are looking to boost this season? Does your IT Toy need some buzz? Do you want to see your toy, or item, shared with millions? Good news. I have the solution. Every year Thrifty Momma’s Tips Holiday Gift Guide generates millions of impressions.
Oh sure, I know it’s September, but soon enough the snow will fly and the holidays will be in full swing. I have already received a few Holiday gift guide submission inquiries in the last month, so in response to those I have prepared a few guidelines and thoughts on what I will and won’t accept here for consideration in the annual gift guide. My first ever Thrifty Momma’s Tips holiday gift guide in 2013 was a crazy hit and there were many great products included for kids of all ages. Last year I ran two separate holiday gift guides – and my Gifts With Heart guide was exclusively open to the charity I support and hold close to my heart – World Vision Canada – and a traditional gift guide too. This year I will again share World Vision Canada’s holiday meaningful gifts with my readers through posts, tweets, shares, and pins. Look for a Linked Moms twitter party with World Vision Canada and a host of trusted influencers coming this November.
My traditional holiday gift guide is now ready for readers and brands.
First I want to thank you for contacting me and for considering partnering with my blog for the holiday season. Here are a few things you should know. Please email me first. I will consider your pitch at: email@example.com. If items arrive at my home and I have no idea where they are from or who sent them, I can’t do the product justice and might not include it in this magazine style holiday gift guide product roundup.
So email first please – firstname.lastname@example.org
Subject Line – Gift Guide.
Please be familiar with my blog before you pitch. Thanks! My name is Paula and I appreciate brands and agencies that read my posts often. I am not really in need of rooms filled with toys BUT I enjoy sharing the newest creative and educational toys of the season. The week before Christmas many of the toys and books here will be given to a local charity.
The minimum product value for consideration as a post in the gift guide is $100 to $150.
Of course I still want to share budget friendly games and products too. BUT, if you send a toy worth $30 you will be included in a roundup of toys under $30. You will not get a full post.
If you are unable to meet the $100 to $150 minimum amount, and still would like to be included, you can make up the remaining amount in payment via Paypal. Don’t be discouraged, email your pitch. If you would prefer a narrative style story about your product I would be happy to talk to you about that. If you want to offer a giveaway as well, we can consider that too. Prices differ depending on what the ask is.
I have two daughters, 11, and 14. I also have a host of nieces and nephews ages 2 to 15.
I have a contributor with a newborn baby girl. Please email me for her mailing address and I will take care of connecting you both. I am sure she would be thrilled to review some great new products for her baby girl.
I don’t believe in gender specific toys and my kids are living proof of this. Read the blog and you will see that my youngest is not a “Pretty Pretty Princess Kind of Gal.” LOL. She likes hands on active toys that are also challenging and sometimes explosive.
Thanks so much for reading and for considering Thrifty Momma’s Tips Gift Guide for your product.
*I will not accept toy guns. Sorry, I don’t allow them in my home.
*I reserve the right to include or not include the products that arrive here. If they are not family friendly I won’t include them.
*If I receive something that is not up to the quality standards that I think my readers respect and demand, I will first email the brand back and let them know my concerns. We will then work towards a solution that benefits my readers, the brand and myself, the publisher.
