Wordless Wednesday: And So It Starts…#Dentistry

Good thing for insurance plans. I have often joked to my kids, somewhat bitterly given the amount of money that winds up going in one of these two directions: dentistry and veterinarians, that they should pursue either one of these options as careers. From what I can see, it’s like a licence to print money. Especially that last one. When our poor sweet cat Magnum was dying, every time I walked through the door of the emergency vet clinic in town it cost me $75 to say hello. It never cost less than $700 to help our cat. I know teeth and cats aren’t the same thing, but they are costly emergency, not always planned expenses. So hello to little girl’s new $700 tooth appliance that is supposed to help with spacing and maybe – maybe fingers crossed – avoid braces.
