National Adoption Month and Merchandise
I See Me has an incredible array of personalized products that you can order for your child. That’s pretty fun and unique, but what really got me excited was the Adoption section on their web site. It’s not overtly specific to adoption only. But it is applicable to adoptive families, which is unique.
Why Does Adoption Friendly Matter?
Frankly too many gifts and cards and things that are intended to celebrate birth and birthdays, aren’t adoption sensitive. For instance objects, books and even programs that celebrate birth exclusively neglect to understand the intricacy of adoption. Often times, adoptive children don’t even have much information about their birth. Pointing losses and missing pieces out makes life harder for kids who come to their families by adoption. That’s why I choose to celebrate companies and brands that do adoption well. I See Me, is one of those companies.
Adoption Friendly Baby and Preschooler Books
There are numerous adorable options for welcoming a new baby by adoption. I love that. Frankly that’s why I wanted to partner with this company to bring you a review and giveaway here. My girl is past this stage now, but for some lucky new adoptive parent, or relative of a newly adopted baby, these will make an amazing treasure for life.
My Experience
My daughter received My Very Own Name book. What’s cool about that for us is that her name Ainsley is rare and unique like her and we never ever find it on personalized premade objects in stores. So, when she got this one in the mail, and read all the letters of her name – both first and last – she was thrilled! Each letter is attributed to an animal and the plot is clear that every child is a magical gift and the process of choosing a name equally special for all.
What Did I Love?
I loved that this story came with an inscription I was able to craft for my daughter. She loved and believed this was the story of her name.
I See Me is a priceless tribute and a lasting keepsake I would recommend for anyone who adopts a baby, toddler, or preschooler.

I’d probably go with My Very Own Name since Miss R’s middle name is unique & related to her adoption.

So hard to choose! Either My Very Own Name (love owls) or one of the personalize board books. We are currently waiting to adopt so great to hear about companies that have adoption friendly products. Thanks.
