Easy Family Approved Cheesy Beef Penne Dinner
These days, good food is everything. Let’s be honest, we are all cooking up a storm right now. With more time on our hands due to social distancing and lockdowns and quarantines, we are taking more precautions than ever and dining out at restaurants is really no longer a safe thing at all in many places. So, we are cooking and baking and spending way more dinners at home.
This easy cheesy beef penne dinner is one of my new favourites and I wanted to share it with you. The cheese and sour cream add a lot to this dish. Right now, simple, but tasty matters. Everyone is stressed and both my husband and I are still working, so we need to eat well, while making meals that are tasty.
With pasta in my pantry, canned sauces and cheese in the fridge I am set. In fact, I have had no complaints at all about this one. There’s a tasty President’s Choice Frozen meal we used to buy often at Loblaw’s that tastes a LOT like this one does. Now, I don’t need to buy that anymore. This recipe tastes as good or better than that one.
You don’t need a lot of ingredients for this one. The most important part is the beef in my opinion. DO not scrimp on the beef. Cheesy beef penne is protein packed and sure to fill your family. My kids asked for seconds and frankly I went back for some too.

Delicious Family Favourites Are Always Important
With a few small exceptions here, you probably have all of these items in your pantry at home. At the start of the social distancing and COVID-19 pandemic, I ordered some spaghetti sauce via Instacart through Walmart and I ended up with marinara sauce. At first, I was a bit ticked actually. What good was marinara sauce?
Happy Accidents
But, I have actually used it at least three times and it’s quite good, especially in this Cheesy Beef Penne dinner. So, I have found a product I love and am using it in all of the recipes lately. It’s a keeper.
