Adult Coloring Books for Gifting #ValentinesDay

Adult coloring books are suddenly incredibly hot. I get it. I had a Hallmark one here recently and I had some fun chilling out and simply coloring for a bit. Coloring is a super relaxing activity. My one daughter has had coloring books with mandalas in them for several years. Those are not necessarily exclusively adult coloring books.

Have you ever picked up an adult coloring book and wondered if you should get one? Do you have anxiety or trouble relaxing at all? They can be excellent tools for both children and adults to help calm down. When my kids were younger I had a home day care and I would often color with kids when they were playing. It’s surprising how often they would start telling me all about their school day or all about their bottled up feelings. I have seen this work really well with kids so I have no doubt that adult coloring books have amazing potential to help you unwind too.

I gave my 83-year-old mother an adult colouring book for Christmas and she just loves it. She has already finished a few pages. It’s a great activity for her when she is lying in bed or sitting in her favourite chair.

That is so sweet!! I saw one today that was mindfulness and meditation while colouring. I think I should have bought that one!
