A funny thing happened on the way to my first rodeo – or my first trip to Blogher. I was signing up last minute as I do, because life is busy, when all the schedules started coming and they were addressed to this health and fitness track blogger. Health Blogger? Fitness blogger? Now, I’ve been blogging a good three years easily. And I can tell you categorically that I have not once thought of myself as a health blogger. I am, at times, all over the map here. I know it. I like a lot of things and I like…

Now, I am not gluten free. Not right now. I have been at various points in the past due to my health issues. And for a time my youngest child was gluten free also. While she didn’t have an allergy to gluten, we were trying the diet to see if she responded due to behavioral concerns at that time. Despite that disclaimer, I want you to know that I have dozens of friends and dozens of my friend’s children also who are gluten free – for a whole host of reasons. Some are required to be off all traces of…

In the course of under one hour watching this second episode of I’m Having Their Baby, I cycled through pretty much every emotion on the spectrum for human beings. After being amazed, I cried and then was a bit angry and sad, the horrified, upset and eventually totally grateful for the experience of viewing this incredible show. I received only one episode of the show, the second one. In episode two, two pregnant moms, Claudia and Mary, are seen making the decision to place their child for adoption or raise their child themselves. Claudia is a young woman, herself adopted…

This is a sponsored post. I have tested this product out and my opinion is all my own. No great secret to my readers that I love a good deal. I adore passing them on to you too. So happy I have found CouponCodes.ca, a great tool to save you more money. In this economy we all need as many magical dollars in our pockets as possible. And pennies too, well, as long as they are around. So first off, the variety of stores and brands represented at Coupon Codes.ca is magnificent. I searched the Sears tab and found a…

While some of us are away at the biggest blogging conference on the planet, we thought it might be nice to host a giveaway for the rest of our readers. This is a giveaway hop hosted by MAMANYC.net and bloggerpr.net and every giveaway is valued at at least $25.00 so there’s something for everyone. Pay attention to the details because every entry is different. I am giving away some children’s entertainment items to help you finish the summer. I have a children’s DVD, a Disney Princess pencil case and a Littlest Pet Shop creature for some lucky winner. Obviously girly…

This is a sponsored post. Avon is a company I have loved from the time I was a child. As a little girl, I browsed those brochures with passion and dogeared all the pages with cute girly necklaces or bath soaps. Once in awhile someone would buy me something tiny from the brochure and I was in heaven. Avon has always been a female focused, woman friendly company and in these last ten years I have come to love it even more. When we moved to our current home I searched for an Avon lady and luckily I found one.…

Remarkably the other day this was the conversation in my home. Husband: I did not like the new cereal. Me: It was on sale. I thought we might try it. Husband: You can’t beat Cheerio’s. Me: (thinking um, next time I stick you with the grocery shopping detail) Fine, I’ll try to find you some later. Then out of the clear blue a package of Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerio’s and Oatmeal Crisp arrived. Not even two hours after this conversation. For a brief moment I truly thought my home was bugged. Husband is a fitness junkie these days and refuses…

This summer my youngest daughter has had endless amounts of dentistry. Well, not endless I guess, because it is finally done. Thank goodness for that. But it seemed to take a long time, especially since she is not a patient child and, although not a huge eater, needs to eat what she wants when she wants it. So an impulsive eater and one that is tiny in size. I am always worried with her about whether she gets enough food. Anyways, for a week of this summer, at separate intervals, she has been only able to eat soft food. So…
