Do Spring Allergy Symptoms Suck the Fun From Your Life?
Table of Contents
My Spring Allergy Strategy:
For fast relief of eye allergy symptoms at home or on the road, I’ve got hydraSense Allergy Therapy – an eye drop formulated to relief allergy symptoms. I CAN’T even begin to tell you how excited we all were to see this product. Hadn’t seen it until recently and it is life changing. You know that itchy watery I must scratch my eyes out right now feeling of summer allergies? Well, these eye drops work to keep your eyes from scratching so much.
MULTIPLE activities I will not avoid because of allergy symptoms:
Gardening –
It’s great we don’t have to shovel snow anymore, but it also time to get out and cut the grass. Not to mention trim the tree and clean up any old leaves left from the fall – you know the ones that got buried under snow for months. Yeah those. The gardening goes much faster without having to stop every few minutes to blow your nose. If grass is one of your allergy symptoms, have a fast-acting Claritin handy before you head out the door.
Hiking –
I like to walk a lot in the spring and summer months. When ski season ends I am outside getting my steps in. Can’t do that if you hide indoors so here’s to having an allergy toolkit that works.
Cleaning –
I could give you a million excuses for not doing spring cleaning – but dust allergies won’t be one of them. Spending time in dusty spaces can leave both Jim and I feeling rotten. Dust is in fact one of the allergies we both have. This year, we won’t have to hide from a dusty corner. When we feel symptoms starting, we can take a Claritin anywhere and everywhere (it dissolves on the tongue – no water needed!). Dissolvables travel well too!
The Zoo or Animal Sanctuary–
This past couple of years many of my travels have led me to animal refuges and rehab centres. Animal fur and dust plus outdoor spaces and farms!!! That’s like an allergy trifecta. Red, itchy, watery eyes are a side effect of zoos and day trips where animals exist.
I like to keep a bottle of hydraSense Eye Allergy drops in my bag for this. The bottle is small enough to not take up too much space and I can apply the drops on-the-go easily. hydraSense® Allergy Therapy contains clinically proven, naturally-sourced ingredients called sodium hyaluronate and ectoine for effective, long-lasting relief of irritated, itchy, and watery eyes due to dryness and allergies. They are Phosphate-free and can also be used with contact lenses. For more information: www.hydrasense.ca
Riding –
My daughter rides and does dressage at SARI and I’m not about to miss that. It’s one of her favourite things and I enjoy seeing her succeed at something she loves. But the barn can be a huge trigger for allergies especially for me.
YURTS, Camping etc. –
So Listen here’s the thing about travel writing. When someone calls and says hey would you and your family like to visit Muskoka or go camping in Kalamazoo..you need to be ready. I keep all these great tools in my allergy toolkit and it let’s me do my job and enjoy the seasons, whatever they bring!
