Three Canadian bloggers taking a break from networking and meeting with all the brands. It was a great event, with so many great sponsors I look forward to sharing with you soon. This is one of my dearest friends, Margarita Ibbott, @downshiftingpro and the other half of @linkedmoms. I am of course in the middle and the lovely Katrina Thom of @TOTSFamily is on the end.…

I am a summer girl through and through. July is the month of my birthday and I am a true July baby. I could live on the beach somewhere sunny and eat Barbecue and enjoy fresh fruits and the occasional sip of wine and be happy for the rest of my life. Fall, interrupts my happiness and doesn’t have a tonne of redeeming factors about it. But there are some great foods that I enjoy that only come around in the Autumn months. [tweetthis]Cooking with squash is the only reason I am happy for Fall to come.[/tweetthis] Fall foods likeĀ apples…

TheĀ Muse headbandĀ makes relaxation more fun, especially for gadget girls like me. Let me clarify. When I try to relax, it’s interrupted by all kinds of outside stimuli – the kids, noises, neighbourhood creatures and then there’s the constant internal monologue too. The Muse headband helps me to conquer all of those things. The Muse Headband Helps Make Serenity a Reality Well it makes serenity reality at least while you’re meditating. With the Muse headband, you have an ally in leaving behind the stress and worry of the world – at least for a while. The Muse headband uses EEG (electroencephalogram)…

Let’s travel back in time together for a few minutes. I can scarcely recall a time that I did not have pain. As a little person I had joint pain often and that was always chalked up to growing pains. My mother and I tried so many different things. Eventually when I was 14 that pain became acute and it was inĀ my stomach and my joints. I felt horrible. Crohn’s Disease, an autoimmune disorder of the digestive tract, was the verdict. I still struggle with pain on a weekly basis. But I have managed to develop a lot of tools…

In the summer months when the weather is hot and the days are gorgeous but limited, it’s important not to spend hours on end slaving at the stove. I love easy barbecue ideas every summer weekend, and if we are entertaining or having a pool party or even just having a lovely weekend together, I like fast tasty snacks like this savoury sour cream nacho dip. This dip would also go great with vegetables. I confess my husband and I have this dip that’s made a nearby grocery store that is our brutal weakness. It is heavenly. So I considered…
