Are Little Girl’s Halloween Costumes Too Sexy?

My seven-year-old thinks outside the box. She is mostly a hands on kind of gal. While my ten-year-old was dreaming of princesses at her age, my youngest well she was climbing trees and sliding into home plate ripping holes in all her jeans. I love their differences and think it’s kind of great to have a kid who doesn’t care to be a pretty pink princess. This year she is Batman. She loves her costume and has worn it every day after school for the past week. On the weekend she showed the furnace repair guy that she was Batman and…

Free Lunch: Healthy Choices Lunch Steamers Steam and Win -giveaway – CLOSED

I have been fortunate enough to attend two conferences recently. I was named one of the 200 Most Connected Women in Canada and, for the second year in a row, took part in the She’s Connected conference in Toronto. I also bought a ticket to Blissdom Canada for the first time ever which solidified in my mind the need for a whole wardrobe makeover. Not a frumpy affair. Abreva review

There is little I hate more than cold sores. I don’t get a lot of them, but when I do I want them gone instantly. As a result I keep Blistex handy at all times, when I travel and when I leave the house there’s even a tiny one stashed so I don’t run out ever. So when Abreva appeared at my house recently for review I was excited to try another option. Abreva is recommended by pharmacists and it’s a fair bit more expensive than my standby Blistex. But, when I tried it last week, I was blown away…

Backyardigans Live, Koba Entertainment and a Freebie

The Backyardigans hold a special place in my heart. When they first started staging the popular TV show, we hopped right on the ticket train and raced out to see them. My kids both loved the Backyardigans and I felt good encouraging this show because it was wholesome, it encouraged them to move through song and dance sequences and their music always seemed so much more sophisticated than the average TreeHouse show. And what’s more than that, it was, and still is a really creative little preschool gem. In their neighbourhood, their backyards become transformed into magical adventures. The Backyardigans…
