Find Your Strength at Pioneer Camp Ontario

    May 28, 2018 /

Every January my youngest daughter begins the camp countdown to Pioneer Camp Ontario. That’s six or seven months of anticipation before the eventual August drop-off every summer. In many ways this camp is the gift that keeps giving all year long. But long after camp itself, every single year Ainsley comes home inspired, engaged, confident, calm and grounded. How Did We Discover Pioneer Camp Ontario? Just two summers ago my family was invited to a Bloggers’ Weekend Retreat at Pioneer Camp Ontario. We…

Couples Resort – A Romantic Anniversary Retreat

I’ve never been through Algonquin Park and loved seeing the Moose Crossing and deer crossing signs. On the way back we popped…

Ontario Pioneer Camp Blogger Weekend #PioneerCamp16

    July 13, 2016 /

My kids have been campers for years. For the past few years I have heard great things about Ontario Pioneer Camp. But until recently we had no experience with the camp ourselves. That changed last month when we drove to Huntsville in the stunning Muskoka area of Ontario and took part in Ontario Pioneer Camp Blogger’s Weekend. What a fun weekend it was! Camp is a big investment. It’s an investment in your child. It’s also an investment in you as a parent. BUT, before you book any camp you need to know what to expect. Camp is one of those rites of passage that relies on Word of Mom. How…
