Ten Ways to Carve Out Family Play Time in the Fall and a Contest too!

The race cars in the new Kindertoys are a big hit here Well my last #KinderMom post was all about my summer bucket list and I am happy to report that, with the exception of manicures and pedicures, my kids and I managed to cross off most of the items on our To-Do bucket list. Did I really just say all of that? I am tired just typing…

5 Tips To Shop Smart For A New Van

About one month ago I began shopping for a new van. Our 2007 Dodge Black Caravan was fine and we were fairly happy with it, but the lease was up. We took someone’s lease over two years ago. I have always been a fan of leasing because I like trading my vehicle in every couple of years or so. Also we never ever go over the mileage allowed so we never have any extra costs. Anyways, the lease was up and as usual we were up against a tight deadline. So I started researching. Luckily, these days customer reviews are…

    Unveiling a New Logo

The Old This week, just before I head into the amazing conference season I was inspired to kick it up a notch. What do you all think? The New Next week I will get these for magnets on my new van. The crappy old ones that I had done up with…

Stunning hats, caps, crowns and bonnets One of the highlights of our summer was a day trip to Stratford, Ontario. Just under one hour from London, Ontario and not too far from Detroit (two and a half hours about) by car, there is a good deal to see and do in the pretty town of Stratford. This theatre town is well known for its lovely scenery, its trademark swans and world class theatrical productions. Since my children both are very dramatic and my eldest acts with Original Kids Theatre Company we were eager to explore the city. This year we…

Hands Off My Child’s Weight – For The Last Time

A lot of people followed my story of scales in schools. Last Friday I posted about my daughter, 10, in grade five and an insensitive assignment in which a scale was in her class and kids were weighed. My daughter went first. She was picked to go first and comments were made by others about her size and weight. She came home very upset. Anyways part of my weekend was then spent trying to fix that problem and get to the root of what happened. The issue was resolved yesterday morning when the teacher, whom I believe to be a…
