DIY Banana Hair Mask
Make Your Own Banana Hair Mask.
I’ve been experimenting this winter with some do it yourself concoctions. This is one of them. I hope you enjoy it. It’s easy and super fun to make. Give your kids some of the ingredients and have them help.
DIY Banana Hair Mask
This is the perfect way to use up those over ripe bananas. They can be made into a deeply moisturizing hair mask which can also do wonders for the hair on your scalp. Packed full of Vitamins A, C & E as well as potassium, bananas are the goto fruit for homemade hair treatments. This quick and easy recipe will leave your hair feeling soft and conditioned.

I have heard of many things to treat the hair with but never have I heard of bananas. Interesting. That is one food that would be on the bottom of my list to use.

I think I will end up eating the mix if I have to prepare it lol. Kidding aside though, I did not know that you can make you own musk with fruit!

Somehow we always seem to have overripe bananas and now I know just what to do with them (especially since I have 2 daughters with waist long hair). Thanks for sharing at the This Is How We Roll Link Party at Organized 31.

That is definitely interesting. I love bananas but never tried using them as hair mask. I did try coconut milk when I was young. 🙂

I have definitely never heard of such a thing. But I’m always looking for new things for my hair so I’ll have to try this out.

I have heard about using banana, but I don’t think I could waste a perfectly good banana and avocado for my hair. A hot olive oil treatment works just as good. Coconut oil too.
Hollie
I’ve tried tomato and egg, but never banana. Mix all three and you’ve got a nice breakfast on your head!

Haven’t tried bananas yet, but I do use olive oil with great success. Must try bananas, at least once, though, as I’ve heard it before but never tried it. I like your other ingredients also. Thanks for sharing, Thrifty Momma!
