Keep Kids Busy with This Free Easter “I Spy” Printable!

We’ve all been there: the Easter dinner is almost ready, the eggs are hidden, but the kids are starting to get that “pre-chocolate” restless energy. You need about fifteen minutes of peace to get the ham out of the oven or finally finish your coffee while it’s actually hot.

Enter the Easter I Spy! This is one of my favourite types of printables because it’s a “quiet” game. It challenges the kids to hunt for hidden bunnies, decorated eggs, spring chicks, rainbows and baskets tucked away in a festive scene. It’s like a mini scavenger hunt they can do right at the kitchen table.

Why You’ll Love This Easter I Spy:

  • No Prep Required: Just hit print and grab some crayons or markers.
  • Great for All Ages: Younger kids can practice counting the items. Older kids love the challenge of finding the “hidden” extras.
  • Perfect for Groups: Print a stack for the “kids’ table” at your Easter brunch to keep them entertained between courses.

How to Play: Easter I Spy

It’s time to put those Easter I Spy detective skills to the test! Whether you’re waiting for the Easter Bunny to arrive or just looking for a fun quiet-time activity, here is how to get started:

Colour as You Go: To make it even more fun (and to keep track of what you’ve already found), use a different coloured crayon or marker for each object.

Find & Count: Look closely at the big picture and try to find all the hidden holiday items.

Mark the Key: Once you find an item like a tiny chick or a rainbow, write the total number you found in the box next to that item. You will see where to do this at the bottom of the page.
