Kitchen Transformation #LinkedMoms chat

Our kitchen has been the least appealing feature of our cozy home for years now. When we moved in we knew the kitchen needed upgrading, or a renovation. The kitchen was small, but so were we. We bought an apartment sized dishwasher and we used it a lot. Then our family grew. And life got busy. And our 40 year old kitchen started to fall apart. See the picture above – a couple of times my cupboard faces fell off and once the front of the cupboard near the sink fell and broke my toe.
I have hated my tiny kitchen for a very long time. Lately, this past year or so we’ve been thinking about selling the starter home we have outgrown and moving some place newer, with nicer kitchen and a home office space. We know nobody will buy this awesome home without a wee bit of TLC and elbow grease and a mighty kitchen renovation. So this week our renovation commenced. I hired a contractor to completely overhaul the kitchen and I cannot wait to share the reveal. Stay tuned for that. In the mean time Linked Moms are chatting tonight at our regular time 8 p.m. EST Wednesday the 18th of September about home renovations. Are you a DIY guy or gal? Can you paint, plaster, choose tile and backsplash?
Join us at 8 p.m. EST.
And did I mention there are prizes too.
DK Canada has a DIY book to give away.
And we have various other assorted toys to give away as well. Join us tonight and follow the #linkedmoms hashtag.
