Old El Paso Makes Dinner Fun #Giveaway #LMDConnector

beach 157

Who doesn’t love taco night? Seriously. We spent a week at the cottage recently and the fridge was bare when we got home. Imagine that, no little magical fairies exist that do my shopping when I am away. Luckily a truckload of boxes at my front door revealed this great Old El Paso Family Fun Kit. I was thrilled to crack it open and have a Mexican – themed evening. The kit contained one Old El Paso Extra Mild Super Tasty Hard Taco Kit, a container of salsa, jalapenos, refried beans, and a family-sized container of Old El Paso Hard and soft taco dinner kit AND, yes there’s more, separate seasoning packets, and a Hot and Spicy Fajita Dinner Kit. Now, seriously that would be enough, but the great people at General Mills Canada have also put the cutest little salsa chilli pepper serving dish in the prize pack too. I have never made fajitas and can’t wait to have them this coming weekend. So, we had a fun Mexican night and managed to whip out the door fast for a package of ground beef ( the only extra needed here to finish the meal. We already had sour cream handy, plus lettuce and tomatoes from my garden.)

For a limited time if you visit the Life Made Delicious Facebook page and search for Old El Paso you can grab a great FREE coupon to help save money on your grocery bill. Use Save.ca to print. Visit http://www.facebook.com/LifeMadeDelicious  or click here for the coupon Life Made Delicious

The whole package is valued at $50. Winners must be Canadian this time around. Thanks! And good luck. Tell me how do you like your tacos? What special toppings do you use? Do you like the salsa and flavours mild or HOT!? My favourite part of the taco kit that my family tried this week was the extra seasoning for the sour cream. It was so unique and I actually had never tried that before. It added a nice kick.

  1. We had tacos tonight so I had to check out your blog post!
I guess my special ingredient would be plain greek yogurt instead of sour cream, mostly because we pretty much always have yogurt and hardly ever have sour cream! Other than that we are pretty ordinary taco eaters – cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce.
    Loved reading your post!

  2. We had our first taco night this past week….so it was fun to see the reaction they all had to them. Growing up, my mom made taco’s/sloppy joes often, and I loved the fact that I could dress it up any way I wanted…..I used to only put cheese and lettuce; now, I also add in tomato and onion

  3. We love tacos at our house, they’re so fast and simple to make. We use the soft and hard shell kit and when we eat them we put all the ingredients in the hard shell and then wrap the soft shell around it…yummy!!

  5. LOVE tacos! Homemade tacos happen often in our family and are so much fun. I don’t have special ingredients really, but I used to use Fiesta Tomato Soup in with the beef…added such a great flavour! Love sour cream, onion, cheese, lettuce and tomato on it as well 🙂

  6. I can’t believe you’ve never made fajitas! They are a staple here! I never think about making tacos…I should add that to my list for this week! We always make sure to get extra hot seasoning.

  7. We enjoy sitting together as a family. My kids LOVE hamburger so it adds a different flair to the mix!

  9. Oh we love Mexican food, our favorite in our house is chicken or beef enchiladas and Old El Paso is always our go to brand for salsa, beans, the kits, etc! Thanks for sharing and for the link to the free coupon, I’m printing out adding this on my list for our Friday night dinner! 🙂

  17. Best part of our taco night seems to be that my son does the cooking. He’s got a knack for combinations and flavours that is amazing!

  18. Taco night means it is the night that everyone in the family is home and we can all sit together to enjoy dinner, then play a game or watch a movie together!

  19. We love everything about tacos. There are so fun to make your own and u can mix and match flavors. I also wanted to say i love the new extra mild super tasty taco kits. The package that you add to the sour cream is soo good. I actually use it like a chip dip

  20. taco night is a regular occasion in my house, especially since my 13 year old daughter loves them so much! We always have shredded lettuce, cheese, chopped tomatoes, sour cream, the norm…but we also love adding corn niblets, sauteed mushrooms and black olives sometimes too!! kinda makes it like nacho tacos!!! Best of both worlds!! 😀

  21. love taco night because its quick and easy, takes very little time in the kitchen, easy to clean up, so more time spent enjoying one another as a family and catching up on our day
