Easter is a time for family, but not every child has a family to celebrate with, which is why I was thrilled to learn that Lindt has created a story-telling app that aims to help. The Gold Bunny Easter App, celebrates the legendary Lindt gold bunny and gives back to Children’s Aid Societies in Canada with every download. Lindt Canada is celebrating the launch of a beautifully written and illustrated storybook app entitled “The Bell that Rang in Easter” My family feels strongly about Children’s Aid. It’s been a week since my last post, but I have been busily mulling over much in the world of adoption. Many of you probably read headlines about the blogger Mommy Anita Tedaldi who adopted a child and then when she felt the baby boy wasn’t bonding gave him up. It was all over the U.S. media and the Internet late last week. Tedaldi was interviewed by Matt Lauer on the Today Show. This Childhood Depression, Adoption and Mental Health post is the 3rd blog post in my series inspired by the NACAC conference last week and the stories shared, as well as the expert speakers. Recently, I spoke about advocating as a parent at the NACAC conference for adoptive parents and children. NACAC stands for North American Council for Adoptable Children.
