Merry Christmas Card #Selfie #WordlessWednesday
In true last minute Paula form I realized I still wanted to make some super fast traditional Christmas cards this year. So I turned to my awesome friends at Minted.com and asked what they could help me with last minute. They ship so fast and they are super efficient. Plus they have adorable stationery and art work and so many other things I love. Oh man I almost forgot they also made me some amazing personalized wrapping paper that is totally unique. I still need to get wrapping actually. Minted also did my business cards this year which I am really happy with and have had some great feedback on.…

New Year’s Roundup: Crafts, Food and Party Ideas
Hard to believe another year is almost over and the holidays are fast approaching. Once Christmas has come and gone there’s still New Year’s Eve to look forward to and, for entertainers, who love to host parties or help throw parties it can be the perfect chance to show off, or showcase your skills. I am not so naturally talented as an entertainer and I tend to require a bit of help. Pinterest and other bloggers can be great resources for party and craft ideas. Twelve Home Safety Tips for the Holiday Season
We had a strange event in our neighbourhood last weekend involving one of my children. A person we did not know pulled over at the side of the road where my one daughter was playing with a friend and started taking pictures of them. The girls had been out playing on their bikes, in daylight, after school. Normally I can see my child out front. But the safety I take for granted was taken away when the two girls came racing into my house to say a…

World Vision Canada Christmas Gifts – Party RSVP November 19 at 8 p.m. EST
Many of you who are regular readers here know that this September I travelled with World Vision Canada to Colombia. While I was there for the better part of a week I toured many of the area development programs where the work of volunteers and staff at World Vision Canada is changing lives. The experience was life altering and heartbreaking all at once. I saw children who had grown up with World Vision Canada sponsorship and become leaders in their communities. I recently wrote about Johan Espinosa who impressed me so because he has spent his life working with World Vision and has inspired others to do the same. It was an…

Mabel’s Labels Stocking Stuffer Combos for Christmas
This post contains affiliate links. If you order anything from the links I will get a small percentage of the profit. My family are massive fans of Mabel. We take her everywhere. We always have done so. From the minute the kids hit preschool and needed some help “remembering” their belongings, we had Mabel’s Labels on all the relevant items. Mabel has great 411 wristbands for kids with special needs or allergies and over the years we have used those also. They help the kids feel safe sometimes when they are in public or away from Mom and Dad. We have summer combos and back to school combos. So why…

My Top Five Family Christmas Movies
This time of year we love to take the afternoon or evening and watch Family Christmas movies together. Are you the same way? There’s something super festive about watching Christmas movies together as a family. If your family is at all like mine, then Christmas is a great opportunity to snuggle, take a break, pop some popcorn, and plan a movie night. Who wants to go out after eating all that turkey? I’d much rather cuddle and watch something fun before Christmas too. Wrapping presents and decorating the tree is always a good time to share a special movie. In the spirit of Christmas and spending time together with family…
