My Top Five Family Christmas Movies

This time of year we love to take the afternoon or evening and watch Family Christmas movies together. Are you the same way? There’s something super festive about watching Christmas movies together as a family.

If your family is at all like mine, then Christmas is a great opportunity to snuggle, take a break, pop some popcorn, and plan a movie night. Who wants to go out after eating all that turkey? I’d much rather cuddle and watch something fun before Christmas too. Wrapping presents and decorating the tree is always a good time to share a special movie.
In the spirit of Christmas and spending time together with family I wanted to share my list of Top Five Family Christmas Movies.

  1. Toys

     with Robin Williams.Love him and the supporting cast is explosive, literally. I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine. Love the music in this one too. Buy the soundtrack also and you won’t be disappointed. Beautiful Enya music.

  2.  A Christmas Story (Two-Disc Special Edition) [Import]

    Christmas Story

    It’s not Christmas here if we haven’t seen this movie classic. Adore the hysterical acting and the overacting and Ralphie and his little brother too. Who doesn’t remember the major award, or the Red Ryder BB Gun?

  3. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

    Rudolph

    This one will forever endure and have a special place in my heart. As children we watched it every year with my Mom. And when she became a Grandma, she would sit with the grandchildren every year and watch this sweet story of a misfit reindeer.

  4. Home Alone: The Complete Collection

    Home Alone The Collection

    is a series of comical movies. The first is the best but number two is pretty hilarious as well. After that they sort of ran out of plots and characters. But even so, this series is sheer enjoyment and laughter for the whole family. What kid can’t relate to the idea of being left alone at home by accident?

  5. Polar Express

    The Polar Express

    is with Tom Hanks and it features groundbreaking animation. Plus a classic story. Really a great pick.
