Tremblant International Blues Festival – All the Shades of Blues
The village at the base of Mont-Tremblant is awake in a riot of Blues, Purples and Golds. Spotlights, instruments, televisions, bleachers decorate the pedestrian village. Crowds of all ages fill the streets and common spaces between restaurants and shops. Here the sights and sounds of the International Blues Festival wake you up and lull you to sleep in the middle of the month of July at gorgeous Mont-Tremblant in Quebec. On the 24th ever occasion of the Festival International Du Blues De Tremblant I am visiting with a group of travel writers. Together, we are experiencing the best of all the activities that Tremblant has to offer in the summer…

Ermitage Du Lac, Tremblant, Quebec
Spacious Accommodations at Mont Tremblant I wish that I had taken more pictures of the inside of our suite at Ermitage du Lac, Mont Tremblant when we stayed there earlier this year. Ermitage Du Lac was one of the biggest suites we have ever stayed in as a family. Three massive self contained bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, plus a large kitchenette and gorgeous views. Can you imagine? My kids thought they were in paradise (No arguments over who slept where and no yelling as someone hammered on a bathroom door for the other to speed it up. No, none of that because we each had our own bathrooms.)…

Dog Sledding Near Mont Tremblant
Dog Sledding Near Mont Tremblant on a wintery March day can bring out the child in anyone. Snug as a bug in a rug. We are racing through the snowy upper Laurentians in Quebec, about 45 minutes from Mont Tremblant resort. It is peaceful and calm and the mountains are majestic as the snow continues to fall. Three of us are on this one dog sled lurching out of the starting gate and my older daughter rides safely behind us with a driver of her own. Content. This is the definition of contentment and peace and it makes you almost forget how bitterly brutal the winter has been, because inside…

Mont Tremblant is stunningly beautiful and if you thought it was just for skiers and snowboarders, well you’d be wrong. Tremblant is for families of all ages and you can easily find things to do there every season. This post is all about the various exciting Mont Tremblant activities you can do, often together as a family, and sometimes separately due to age restrictions. I left a little piece of myself in Tremblant. Actually I think we all might have left something of ourselves there. After learning to ski (something I never thought I would do in my 40s) and then spending a couple of days recently getting acquainted with…

I joke that I was born with two left feet. But I love to travel and a smart savvy tourist knows a great travel experience begins when you start off on the right foot. But sometimes it takes equal parts planning and luck to bring the magic. Our weekend family trip to Mont-Tremblant Resort was luck, planning and magic all rolled into one pretty winter family travel experience. [tweetthis]Our trip to #Tremblant was luck, planning and magic all rolled into one #travel[/tweetthis] Our trip began with a quick train ride from our house in London, a short shuttle to Billy Bishop Airport and our first ever flight on Porter Airlines.…

Family Ski Lessons #WordlessWednesday #Tremblant #Travel
Well, if you already follow me on Instagram then you probably know what we’ve been up to. This past weekend we headed to Tremblant by plane, which was super fast and efficient by the way. Thanks very much Porter Airlines. Much to my surprise and enjoyment my kids began speaking French really well from the time we arrived at the airport. Our weekend was amazing and such a great chance to play together as a family. But more about that tomorrow. Stay tuned for the recap of the entire beautiful experience. I think this is another one that lends itself beautifully to a few posts. Anyways, as it is Wednesday, this…
