What is more hopeful than a picture like this?
One of the remarkable images from the photographers who took part in Images of Hope last year, a fundraiser for Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund, held every March.

There are few things in life so hopeful as the faces of children, or images of babies. But for many people struggling with infertility due to various medical reasons, building a family is a complicated reality involving in vitro fertilization and costly medical bills that can be as high as $13,000 per round. So how then, are people, able to create a family when faced with such a huge financial cost?

In Alberta, Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund helps. This year, a remarkable annual fundraiser called Images of Hope, will once again celebrate images and stories of children born through their incredible fertility assistance program Generations of Hope.

Images of Hope will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013.

Images of Hope takes place at Heritage Park, in Calgary and is a catered dinner and silent auction open to anyone who wishes to attend. Tickets are $100 each or $700 for a table of eight and must be purchased in advance. Available on line at:

Every year, for the last eight years Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund has hosted this event, which is also a photo display and the primary fundraiser for the fund. The photo display features nine families this year, each one created with the help of the fund. All families featured and supported by Generations of Hope were built with the assistance of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund helps patients for whom IVF treatment is a challenging financial option. Patients helped by the fund receive support for treatment at Regional Fertility Program in Calgary.

The families donate their time and story, as do the photographers.
Terri Abraham, co-chair for Generations of Hope, Images of Hope fundraiser, says this event has often been a cocktail reception and this year offers a unique experience of catered dinner at Heritage Park. In 2012, the Images of Hope event was attended by 250 people.

There is also a silent auction. Some of the amazing donated prizes there are stunning!

* Tickets to see One Direction in Miami
*Deep sea fishing trip in Florida
*A Garth Brooks signed guitar

The fundraiser brought in $75,000 last year and it is the primary fundraiser for Generations of Hope. Images of Hope has no administrative costs so every dollar raised at the event goes to Generations of Hope and helps create healthy families in Alberta. The event is hosted by Eric Francis and Kelly Abbott of Jack FM.

Hey! I realize this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does running a well-established website like yours take a
lot of work? I'm brand new to operating a blog however I do write in my journal everyday. I'd
like to start a blog so I will be able to share my
personal experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any kind of
recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers.
Appreciate it!
