Banish the Eczema Itch Now

I haven’t itched all week. Why should you care? Well, if you are like me, you either have some experience with mild eczema, or you have a family member with that persistent itchy skin that won’t seem to go away. Did you know 20 % of the population will experience eczema? Did you know there are several different types of this skin condition which can be red scaly patches on your skin that end up cracking, rashing, or even oozing liquid? One common type is cradle cap. Another is contact dermatitis, which is often brought on by excessive handwashing.

But ever since we started using Polysporin Eczema Essentials we have conquered the itch.

Winter Itch and Dry Skin

The winter, of course, makes eczema even more persistent because of the nasty dry weather, both outside and in. In our house, we all get some mid flare ups of eczema. Mine was pretty bad as a child. It flared around my ears every year and under my ears and itched and even wept.

We hunted high and low and finally when I was a kid we found this old fashioned remedy that was mostly zinc based. It worked but was messy, as you can imagine, because it was essentially a white zinc paste. My oldest girl Payton has periodic bouts of really dry scratchy skin. She also experiences dermatitis on her hands. It’s annoying to her and we treat with various creams.

Meanwhile my youngest, Ainsley, has super sensitive skin and frankly hers gets really irritated easily until it flares into messy patches of eczema. She is a scratcher, so if you don’t get on that fast the itch will drive her to distraction. When she was small she would scratch her arms so badly the skin would bleed. For that kind of itching you need a reliable product such as Polysporin Eczema Essentials.

Outdoor Sports Lovers

In the winter and summer months we spend a lot of time outside. We enjoy winter sports, but sometimes seasonal weather makes things worse. Just last week I was sent a gorgeous gift box package of Polysporin Eczema Essentials and I started using it on my skin the very next day. You know that annoying scratchy ‘ my skin is on fire ‘ kind of itch that you can’t stop itching. Gone. I was actually shocked how quick this product worked. By the next day – after only two uses I saw a difference. That exceeded my expectations.

More Details

In fact the packaging says Polysporin Eczema Essentials Daily Wash may help with healthier skin in three days. I found it worked even faster which is good because the itchiness can be such an irritant that eczema can be a really big pain in the neck if it continues on. Polysporin Eczema Essentials is formulated to moisturize while gently cleansing even the most dry, sensitive skin. It is soap free and fragrance free and gentle enough for daily use. Both Ainsley and I have been using this daily wash and she says it makes her skin less itchy too.

Polysporin Eczema Essentials has worked extremely well, with rapid results for me. This product carries the Eczema Society of Canada Seal of Approval.

We are an active family and we don’t slow down for much. So products that act fast to alleviate annoying itchy skin fit our lifestyle well.

Anti-Itch Cream

The Polysporin Eczema Essentials 0.5% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream is for a flare up. I used the cream twice this week. I have patches of dry skin this time of year that get worse where workout gear creates friction throughout the day. The anti-itch cream took care of the spots fast. The active ingredient is hydrocortisone and it’s not meant to be used for longer than one week at a time. Anyone who has eczema likely already knows this type of cream and is familiar with how to use it.

This Polysporin Eczema Essentials 0.5 % Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch cream provides fast relief and helps restore healthy skin.

Polysporin Eczema Daily Moisturizing Cream can be used daily as the name indicates. It strengthens and restores the skin’s natural barrier function. That’s important this time of year because of the dry air. This cream starts working immediately to relieve itch and dryness. Active ingredient is collodial oatmeal which reduces irritation and inflammation. Moisturizing active ingredients include glycerin, mineral oil and shea butter.

Is it for All Ages?

The moisturizing cream and body wash can be used on all ages. This hydrocortisone anti-itch cream is good for children and adults over age of two. All of these products have worked really well for us. I am glad we found them and that we have enough on hand to last for a couple seasons.

Oy! That summer sand itch is the worst!! I have always just used baby powder, so it is nice to learn that there are other options. Do you know if this product is natural?

I am visiting from the SITS Tribe Challenge. My daughter had a really bad eczema flare up this winter, it was so bad that I had to take her to the doctor in hopes that they would help relieve the itch. I am now using a combination of Aquaphor (at night after her bath) and Aveeno Eczema Therapy lotion in the morning. So far this combination is working. Thanks for sharing your experience using the Polysporin Eczema Essentials. I’m going to have to look into giving it a dry.
