At the end of 2015, we had a chance to stay in Miami briefly before our cruise left the Port of Miami. We had only ever previously passed through and I know one day is not nearly enough, nor is two days to experience Miami, but we vowed to return and see some of the sights some time soon. I didn’t get any pictures of Little Havana which I regret. But we were in a van driving past it and the shots wouldn’t have turned out well out the window as we drove by. So perhaps another time. That gives me…

It’s March and that means one or two things around here. First it means spring is on the way. Second it means spring break. To be 100 % honest with you lovely readers, I have not worked out where I will be, or what we will be doing. Travel blogger life means plans change often and that can very well be last minute. So I am sort of planning that there will be some staycation bits to March break and some travel bits tossed in there too. My tween and teen are looking forward to time off school. I am…

St. Patrick’s Day is almost here and you know what that means, right? Parties! And baking and all sorts of festivities. So, if you are Irish, or even just someone who likes a party, you can make good use of some of my free printables. This St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Toppers Printable might be just the thing to help you trick out the bake sale cupcake table. Clubfoot Guest Blog Post – Part 1 This is a Guest Post from the Lovely Crystal over on Crystal Clear As Mud. Crystal has a great blog and she is also Canadian. Come Back tomorrow for Part 2 of the Club Foot Series. While I was pregnant, I always found going for ultrasounds somewhat nerve wrecking since our first pregnancy, before our daughter, ended as a missed miscarriage. Was everything ok? Was the baby growing as he/she should? Am I doing what I should? The questions were always there. When we found out we were pregnant with our second child…

Flying solo. It’s a terrifying thought for many moms. The thought of our kids home alone with no adult supervision is frightening, but it has to be done at some point. At a certain age, we parents have to put enough trust in our kids to allow them to go it alone for short periods. But when is flying solo an appropriate option? Flying Solo Requires Responsibility and Trust Knowing when it’s time to let the kids stay at home a lone is a pure judgement call. It relies on many factors including how responsible your children are, how…

Hello there!! February is almost done, which is outrageous really! I mean two months of 2016 are done already. Sometimes the days go way too fast for me here. Anyways, I started this series way back at the end of 2015 because I checked my Spam folder and found a selection of hilarious and odd blog comments. I thought the oddball spammy comments were too comical to let go. And out of that came That’s So Random series. This is the third edition of That’s So Random oddball funny blog comments. Part 1 was here – Oddball Blog Comments and…

Every year for the last 7 or so my husband and youngest daughter have attended Monster Jam together. It’s kind of their thing. I am usually busy working or running our other daughter to her rehearsals. But, this weekend the timing worked out between rehearsals and we all were able to see Monster Jam at Budweiser Gardens in London. The show is well worth the money and it’s very entertaining to say the least. Zombie got the action started with the first category of judging. Zombie is a monster truck with brains on the roof and Zombie arms. He performs to…

March is almost here. It’s a bit of an inspirational month as the seasons begin to switch over, don’t you think? Well, at least that’s how I see it. March brings Easter and eventually spring and March break of course. There are many reasons to hope for a lovely spring and summer after the colder temperatures have left. What’s your favourite Hope saying? Do you have one? I like the 24th – “The birds of hope are everywhere. Listen to them sing.” and also “Hope is grief’s best music.” I believe that and know it to be true. Hope is…
