Wouldn’t it be fun to get a collection of Peanuts gifts for someone who loved the Peanuts movie? These Peanuts gift ideas might help you if you have someone like that in your life. Did you grow up with Snoopy and Peanuts like I did? Can you hear Charlie Brown’s teacher in your head every time someone drones on and on about a topic you don’t really care about? HEHE. Yes, me too. I remember many Christmases as we were growing up, snuggled on the couch watching Christmas movies such as a Charlie Brown Christmas. I also still…

Who says last minute gifts and teacher presents can’t also be meaningful gifts? With World Vision Canada’s gift catalogue, last minute shoppers can still finish their shopping easily. Last year we gifted several items from the World Vision Canada holiday gift catalogue. We opted to give these impactful holiday gifts to friends and family members, and we found most of our teacher gifts there too. It’s a great solution to the question – what do I get for someone who doesn’t really need anything? Charitable gifts from the catalogue are straight from the heart and that matters more than ever…

I’ve been discussing LBL and various facets of it for a few articles now. This is part 3, the final portion of a series about light bladder leakage, a medical issue that impacts far too many women. In the first post about LBL I talked about travel strategies for women with LBL and ways to embrace travelling with support and a few easy travel tips. In November I talked to author and positive living expert Barbara Hannah Grufferman about ways to discuss LBL with a loved one. Today I’m tackling fashion because it’s the season to get dressed up and 2016 is…

When this Road to Avonlea boxed gift set arrived well let’s just say it hit a vein that’s rich with nostalgia. As a kid I was really enamoured with the entire Anne of Green Gables series of books. I consumed each one happily and couldn’t wait for the next to arrive. Back then we bought our books at Coles Books. Chapters/ Indigo wasn’t even a hint in someone’s eye yet. Anne of Green Gables was actually one of the first books I bought my daughter as an infant, not long after we adopted her, and I set it aside as…

It’s time for Christmas crafts! My girls have been talking about doing some Christmas crafts for days now. SO, I think it’s time to gather a few up and have some fun. But first a trip to the Dollar Store to get supplies. I know we will be making up some reindeer food once again because it is fun and it is a tradition of sorts here. Paper bag reindeer puppets are easy. Pine cones are excellent for crafting with. Both of my kids are forever finding them and collecting them too. These crafts here are pretty simple. Most children…

Going Green Can Be a Challenge I have to admit, I had big plans for our family going green when we started. I imagined every speck of recycling making its way to the bin and doing far more upcycling. While my family has made great strides towards reducing our impact on the environment, there’s still more that we can do. Don’t get me wrong, we’re really pretty good at recycling, but we still face some challenges. My kids are actually the best at recycling, because they grew up with the campaign on television and at school. My oldest daughter is vigilant…
