Cooking With Kids
You thought I forgot this, didn’t you. Well here I am again just because it is Thursday and my kids like to cook. This week we picked a recipe for dinner from the Looneyspoons Collection. Miss American Thigh.
The Looneyspoons Collection is the latest from Janet and Greta Podleski.
Miss American Thigh Chicken
from The Looneyspoons Collection.
2/3 cup of grape jelly
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup minced onion
2 tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp dry mustard
YUmmy! Mix all the liquids and onions and cook on stove for a few minutes at medium until jelly dissolves. Spread sauce on chicken thighs in a baking dish. Turn when cooking so both sides get coated. Cook at 400 for 45 minutes.
Skin the chicken thighs first (I admit we forgot this part. It was still yummy.)

That looks delicious! I just bought the Harry Potter Cookbook for my son and can’t wait to try a recipe this weekend!

Kelly: I had no idea there is a Harry potter cookbook for kids. My girls would love that.

I wonder if it would taste as good if you omit the mustard. My hubby won’t eat anything with mustard in it.

My oldest hates mustard. Extreme dislike. She did not notice the taste of that. It is a sweet flavouts. I think you can omit without much difference to taste. Let me know how it goes.
