Family Fun 2.0 with Ebates Travel Thursdays
This post has been sponsored by Ebates Travel Thursdays which means I received compensation. My opinion is all my own and it is also truthful.
Summer is rapidly running out and that makes me sad. I still don’t feel like I got enough of a vacation. Why does summer go so fast? Every year I love to take time with my family before they go back to school. This year my oldest had a job and work was ridiculously busy here too so we didn’t really get time away together as a family. Don’t get me wrong I am glad she got a job and I am happy to be busy working too, but I keep feeling I missed something.
The older my kids get the more precious summers are in some ways. Why? Because there are very few summers left before my teenagers leave for college or university. Oh I know we can still vacation together when they are older but it’s not quite the same. And there are still so many places to visit.
Family Fun 2.0
Lately I can’t stop thinking about Orlando and Disney. In fact, all roads are pointing to Disney lately. Odd but true…multiple little signs this week screaming Orlando or Anaheim, LA. I feel like it might still be possible to squeeze in one final summer trip and why not Disney? For months now it’s been in the back of my mind. If not now, then when? My kids are still into rides and Disney travel experiences. We have still not seen The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. I’d love to make that happen. California is on our family travel and vacations bucket list too.

Or what about Disney in California and Anaheim, LA? Universal Studios Hollywood would be an incredible family adventure too. Disneyland Park and Adventure City look amazing.
The last time we actually were at Disney World together it was my older daughter’s tenth birthday. Together we braved as many rides as possible to celebrate her turning double digits. 10!! And we went to the Space Coast afterwards to visit the Kennedy Space Centre. The trip was magical and I wanted it to spark interest in science and motivate my daughter to learn. The sky is the limit, right?
That family trip was a success. Frankly it feels like we might be in need of a bit of Pixiedust and Disney magic this year too. And speaking of magic…when it comes to booking travel I work hard to find the best deals. Family travel has to be affordable. That’s why Thursday is now my favourite day to look for and book travel.

Ebates Cash Back Visa® Credit Card holders will automatically receive an additional 3 percent cash back when booking travel through Ebates, increasing the total amount saved to 13 percent. WHAT? That is my kind of savings!

There’s still time to cap off your summer with a batch of fresh memories and a wonderful trip. Family travel is one of my favourite ways to spend time together. And saving money makes me happy. Put the two together and it’s a winning combination. Now that I’ve put the bug in your ear…or your Mickey Mouse ears…where will you go next?

I’d love to go on a cool trip especially when I know I can save like this. Disney would be fine for me-we’ve been to the one in FLA but not in CA. 🙂 That pool looks so inviting and wish I was floating in it right now.

Like you, I feel like summer just started. How can it already be nearly the end?
I hadn’t ever heard of using ebates for getting deals on travel– what a great idea! I will have to check out their deals and see what we can dream up. We homeschool, so we tend to take our family vacations in the early fall or late spring, so we can skip the crowds.

How did I not know that Ebates does travel? I love saving money with them but never thought to consider them for travel? Love seeing this great way to save on travel for the family! Thanks!

I have visited ebates but never really used it. I have a few friends who like it, but I’ve struggled getting hooked on it. I did not know that they offered travel, though. I will definitely have to try them again for that.
