If you are a new parent, there is nothing more important than your precious little one. You would do pretty much anything to protect your child and make sure they grow strong and healthy. Parenting and caregiving is also exhausting work. There is little more tiring than the first year adjusting to a new baby, infant, toddler. You wake bone weary, but excited to see your little one. Life is also busy. There’s work and groceries and life in general. Sometimes you entrust your child to a loved one, a grandparent, a substitute caregiver. You trust them with your heart.
My babies are now long past the stage where I could even begin to forget that they are travelling with me in the car. Girls who are tweens are rarely quiet. And in fact they screech if I forget to unlock the child safety doors, so I am past needing anything like the My Cue Streamer
. But there have been far too many tragic news articles this past summer about babies, toddlers and even young children forgotten in a car, where they died due to heat exhaustion. By now almost everyone knows the risks of leaving a child unattended in the car in the heat. But, as I said, life is busy, and I unfortunately can easily see how someone with 10,000 things on their mind, or a caregiver with multiple kids, or a grandparent, could make the biggest mistake ever and forget that a baby, or toddler, is still in that car seat in the back of the van, or car.
Fortunately there is a safety device invented for busy people on the go to remind you a child is in the back seat. It’s called My Cue Streamer. It’s a key ring and buckle system in a neon yellow colour. You attach one piece to your keys and the other piece to the child’s car seat. The device forces you to visually remember there is a child in the car seat in the back of the vehicle. Many people might think they would never have use for such a thing, but really if it adds to the safety of your child, wouldn’t you want to try it anyways? I know I would.
I am sharing one My Cue Streamer with a lucky reader. Please follow the instructions to win. Open to Canada and the US. If you don’t do the first mandatory entry which is leave me a comment on who you want this for you will be disqualified. Good Luck!
