Family Ski Lessons #WordlessWednesday #Tremblant #Travel
Well, if you already follow me on Instagram then you probably know what we’ve been up to. This past weekend we headed to Tremblant by plane, which was super fast and efficient by the way. Thanks very much Porter Airlines. Much to my surprise and enjoyment my kids began speaking French really well from the time we arrived at the airport. Our weekend was amazing and such a great chance to play together as a family. But more about that tomorrow. Stay tuned for the recap of the entire beautiful experience. I think this is another one that lends itself beautifully to a few posts. Anyways, as it is Wednesday, this…

Tobogganing on Family Day #WordlessWednesday
It’s winter in Canada and as the saying goes: if you can’t beat them, join them. As soon as I started to feel better this weekend we decided to hit the toboggan hill. It was minus 25 Celsius and it was a good thing we bundled up because tobogganing is great exercise and it makes you feel like a kid again. There’s something extra fun about that. This is a Wordless Wednesday post. BUT I am rarely wordless. As I was posting this I started to wonder what does the word mean? It sounds like it might have an aboriginal connotation or history, NO? In fact I looked because why…

Why We Believe in Martial Arts for Girls #WordlessWednesday
Ainsley graded on the weekend again. Now she is a fifth level junior black belt. She started martial arts at the age of four. Two years ago she became a junior black belt. I am always impressed at how athletic this kid is. Martial arts gives her such a great outlet for her energy. She excels at sports and martial arts and swimming and everything sporty that she has ever tried, with a small exception of soccer league play which never worked because, hello wide open field and she has always just wanted to run. Some of you know both of my girls do martial arts. They also mentor at…

Limeapple Love and Girls Clothing – Bubble Jackets #TMMGG2014
We are in love with the cute and warm girls clothing fashions from Limeapple. Limeapple makes great, and age appropriate, girls clothing. That’s important to me. I don’t like to see little girls wearing grownup clothing. Limeapple seems to understand that. They make clothing that moves and works hard with active girls. Payton received this bubble jacket last week and she’s worn it several times. See the feature on the hands that makes it look a little but like a really expensive Lulu jacket? My kids are all over that. This bubble jacket cost half the price of comparable other active girls clothing. It’s incredibly unique with the rainbow zipper. I…

Limeapple Girls Clothing: Twelve Days of Christmas Sale
Limeapple makes the cutest athletic clothing and girl’s fashions Today my daughter’s school held a cabaret concert. My youngest joined the choir this year which is a big deal because she’s never been interested in singing or music. She’s the girl who runs and swims, rides horses and dives, and kicks and does martial arts. She’s my sporty girl, always on the move, so forgive me if we were shocked, but pleasantly so when we she signed up for choir. Choir? Yes, choir. And when she managed to stick with it, we were quietly supportive. Last year music was a big challenge. At the end of the day music was…

I Ran 1.5 K For the First Time #health #fitness
I ran 1.5 K for the first time. Oh sure I know many of you can run a lot farther than that and faster too probably. But of all the sports I enjoy running is NOT ONE OF THEM. AT all. I enjoy fitness and pilates and centergy and yoga but I do not run. In fact, I would almost run to get out of this particular sport. shutterstock photo Last night I ran 1.5 K. I am not a runner. In fact I mostly hate running. Ask me when the last time was that I ran anywhere (save for running after my daughter). Go ahead. Well, it was around…

Harlem GlobeTrotters World Tour #PTPAGLOBIES
When the Harlem GlobeTrotters come to town you know it. Their shows are always entertaining and sheer fun, with a strong hit of audience interaction. As a Mom I love that my kids enjoy watching the talented basketball team perform trick shots and whoop it up playfully for the crowd. I also enjoy seeing that they give back. My family at the Meet and Greet session before the Harlem GlobeTrotters show at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario When the Harlem GlobeTrotters come to town they make the rounds, usually visiting hospitals, doing radio call in shows and interviews and they often do a quick Meet and Greet at the…
