Wonder + Simply Free Blog Tour and Early Canada Day

This year we plan to be out of the country for our Canada Day celebration (well at least for the day that Canada Day actually falls on.) That will be odd because we often spend Canada Day at Niagara Falls or at home having a big party. See our family does summer big with multiple birthdays and anniversaries and cottage time and barbequing is a huge part of that tradition. This year though we had a chance to participate in several barbeques leading upto the big day and we helped host one for friends and family, with the help of Wonder + Simply Free and Mom Central Canada. We held the party early.
As usual we started with the shopping and loaded up our carts with Wonder bread products. Love that the new Simply Free items are without preservatives. Wonder + Simply Free is the First Canadian National line of hamburgers and hot dogs free of artificial flavours and colours. No high fructose corn syrup or unbleached wheat flour. Actually, before I started blogging on this tour I had no idea all the Wonder bread products were made from unbleached flour. That makes me want to buy and share them more.

Canada Day goes over big with the kids in our neighbourhood. My daughter is wearing the red hat. Our Canada Day birthdays are often barbeques. In our family we have a lot of small children still and frankly we all like knowing what is in the food we give them. This is party number one  – a kid friendly Canada Day in our backyard.

And party number one was held with our family in Kitchener. This is my niece. In our extended family many people have food allergies and our celebrations can be cautious if we aren’t sure about ingredients in products. I love that Wonder + Simply Free is a product I can count on as nutritious for my kids and my family.

WONDER+ SimplyFree has provided some free BBQ Recipes for my readers

o Hopefully you had a chance to check out the first two WONDER+ SimplyFree recipes available through the Canadian Living, Summer Fun Comes Naturally site.  You can see them here http://tiny.cc/a2k5r
A simple alternative for the BBQ that we have occasionally used with these buns is really child friendly. Use a Wonder + Simply Free Bun (Hamburger usually) and open it then place a slice of Kraft cheese and a piece of ham inside. Pop on the BBQ for a couple of minutes  (also can be done in the oven). Kids love a ham and cheese bun and it couldn’t be easier.
Happy Canada Day! Happy Barbeque Season too!
I participated in this blog tour on behalf of Wonder and Mom Central Canada and for doing so I received some materials to host a barbeque and a gift card.
