    Breakfast can be one of the least exciting meals of the day. Let’s face it, after a long night’s sleep, or even a short night’s sleep, my creative breakfast making skills are often tapped out.     Does she look tired? Well, she should after five hours of waiting and one hour of performing and then three trophies, including two firsts and one third. My martial artist. My family is martial arts nutty. We owe a lot to martial arts for framing this child’s energy into something that is a big positive in her life.     So, some days I need to get out in front of that energy before it takes over my house. Back in the winter we started sewing together and she also learned how to knit.     These are my girls. The oldest one auditioned last week to sing the national anthem at the World Figure Skating Championships. She sang beautifully and was one of only two kids who applied to do the gig. Wish her luck! I never could have done that as a child. I was a proud mom this weekend.
