It’s the month for Easter baking around here and my sweet tooth has not been disappointed. So today I want to share another great, super simple Easter recipe we made recently. These Easter Cheerios Bird Nests are really chewy and sticky and oh so good. I call them Chewy Cheerios treats. You can also call them Marshmallow Easter Bird’s Nests if you want. Again these are simple to make so the kids can easily get involved baking them and sharing with friends. All you need is a few bulk food store ingredients and you can pull this together in 15 minutes.…

A clean dishwasher is a better functioning dishwasher. A dishwasher is supposed to clean your dishes, but it can’t do that effectively when it’s full of gunk. Affresh dishwasher cleaning tablets ensure that your dishwasher works at its peak performance. A Clean Dishwasher is a Better Dishwasher Cleaning the inside of your appliances is one way to ensure that they perform at their very best. Did you know that only about a quarter of Canadians have cleaned the interior of their dishwashers in the last year? That means that three quarter of Canadians are washing their dishes in dishwashers filled…

I have been practicing Yoga and Centergy for over a decade now. My routine makes me feel better and I have more energy. In fact, I am also much more flexible when I work out regularly, striving to achieve bird pose, or crocodile, in a room full of adults reaching for their own tree, or airplane, on their yoga mats. For me, Yoga was a way to gain some sense of calm after we adopted our second daughter Ainsley. The relaxation and quiet space of meditation, plus the physical ability required to maintain poses and balance helped me to build…

When I was a child we used to make crunchy chocolate No Bake treats every Christmas. My Mom and I baked a lot some years and these crunchy treats were one of my favourites. I can’t recall what we called them now but they had egg noodles in them and chocolate and they really were a hit. With that idea in mind, I thought I would modify the old childhood recipe and create these spring No Bake Treats. These No Bake Easter Bird’s Nests are good any time of the year but I think they look colourful like Spring Flowers. No…

Easter is a time for family, but not every child has a family to celebrate with, which is why I was thrilled to learn that Lindt has created a story-telling app that aims to help. The Gold Bunny Easter App, celebrates the legendary Lindt gold bunny and gives back to Children’s Aid Societies in Canada with every download. Lindt Canada is celebrating the launch of a beautifully written and illustrated storybook app entitled “The Bell that Rang in Easter” My family feels strongly about Children’s Aid. I’ve spent 14 years helping to co-faciliate the adoptive parent’s support group at our local Children’s Aid. I volunteer to…

It’s not unlike traveling to Disney. You simply have to prioritize. I mean life is full of hard choices, right? You can either stay long enough to tackle a bit of everything or come back repeatedly and discover new things every visit. Either way you will love your…

Once again this year I am happy to join forces with Always Discreet to shine a light on common women’s health problems, such as light bladder leakage. LBL is a medical issue impacting many women, but until very recently nobody talked about it. This year I will be talking about travel with LBL and ways of adapting and living with LBL. Life is short and you can’t hide away because of something medical that you can’t prevent. Embrace Spring and Summer Fashion Trends with LBL 2016 is your year! Let’s face it, you are a powerful woman, potentially in the…

It’s officially March break here and I figured you might need something fun and inexpensive to share with the kids. Like this word game. Who doesn’t love word searches and word games? As a child I loved word puzzles like these. What are you Up to for March Break? Anyways what have you all got planned for March break or spring break? Are you travelling? Are you on a Stay-cation? Are you just hanging out at home saving some money? I am not even sure what we are doing yet actually. I’d love to be travelling somewhere. But we will have to…

If you have a tween or teen, chances are good their phones have a KIK account. KIK is a third party messaging app, that allows users to send texts and pictures outside of their phone’s native messaging system. One of the many problems with a KIK account is that it’s difficult to track messaging by normal means. It is a private texting app that, in my opinion, is not extremely necessary if messaging and texting via the usual channels. What is a KIK Account KIK is an app that allows texting and photo sharing outside of a phone’s stock messaging apparatus. That…
