Disappointment #WordlessWednesday #specialneeds
This is disappointment.
I am not a great photographer, but every so often a shot works out. Happy with this one even though it was a private moment when my daughter was unable to do something she had her heart set on doing. She pushed it right to the limit and was all the way up the ladder towering several feet off the ground when she looked down and could not go through with the zip lining. Her sister went and her Dad went. She was mad at herself.
Wordless Wednesday is a photography meme.

Yes, you certainly captured the essence of disappointment with this one! Hopefully your daughter was able to forgive herself and enjoy the rest of your travels.

This is such a great shot – so expressive! I think we all get that feeling of disappointment at some point. I used to get like that all the time when I allowed my shyness to take over!

The very same thing happened to my daughter. She is an adult but still felt disappointed and upset with herself. I tried to reassure her by saying it was totally normal to feel uncomfortable with an extreme sctivity, such as, zip-lining. Being unable to do that is our body protecting us…fear is a very useful emotion and it is OK, and most times very wise to respect it.

Aww, that is heartbreaking. 🙁 Our own disappointment in ourselves is always hardest to handle!
Kristen
Wow, you can feel the emotion from this photo. Very powerful.

aw man, being mad at yourself is so much harder than being mad at someone else.

Awww. heartbreaking! 🙁
(but I don’t think I could have gone through with it either!)

Even though it’s a rather sad photo, it is beautiful!

You certainly captured the feeling in the moment. I think we’ve all been there (I know I have).
I can tell you that I could never zip line and I also know I couldn’t even make it as far as your daughter did.

I think all of us moms can relate to how painful it is to see our kids disappointed. I wish I could reach out through this computer screen and give your daughter a hug right now!

This is a prize photo! Very expressive. I could not do the zipperline either.

That just breaks my heart. But some of the greatest photos are the most honest ones. You really captured that here. I would never have done the ziplining either. 🙁
Stephanie
Oh you did capture it 🙁 Hope her heart is happier today…
